Have to disagree there. He was a senior coach for 5 years and works on one of the most high-profile football shows in the country. Yet he doesn't know anything or know persons that know such?


Have to disagree. Thommo ALWAYS backs up his statements with firm, logical reasons. You may not agree with his logic but he does always explain his statements, unlike Hutchy, who frivoulously bandies about opinion, hearsay and lies and parades them as fact.

He is the anti-media media performer and he is fantastic.

He is also very bitter towards the AFL and purposely pots them at every opportunity. Like a person scorned.

Thus making his opinion anything AFL related worth completely nothing. As it is biased.

In all honesty, there is no incentive for Goddard to go to GWS.
He wont win a premiership there, he will have a better living standard down here.
Let's remember, Ablett had done everything you could do in football, premierships and Brownlow, so he probably saw it as a good working holiday up on the Gold Coast.
I think BJ is driven to succeed, and he has better chance of doing that down here.
As for all the talk of Gold Coast and GWS dominating in 5 years time, let's just wait and see how many of those draft picks stay with the clubs.
Don't be surprised if a good number of them want to come home after a couple of years, especially as they will still have way more losses than victories.
I'll be honest, wouldn't surprise me if GWS's no. 1 pick patton, ends up with us in a couple of years.
