Does Pelchen have a thing about guys called Beau?
Beau Muston
Beau Dowler
and now
Beau Wilkes
there are only about 5 guys called Beau in the country and Pelchen has drafted 3 of them!
Is Pelchen a french name.
Maybe he thinks Beau means beautuful.
Who wouldn't want their recruits to be beauties.

When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

At very least if you put him forward chances are he'll do better there than Zac did.
CLAREMONT'S bid to clear Beau Wilkes at the WAFL Tribunal was unsuccessful, with the in-form forward suspended for one week.
Wilkes was reported for striking Swan District’s Matt Riggio early in the second quarter during the Tigers’ 54-point triumph at Claremont Oval on Sunday.
The former West Coast Eagle has been in red-hot form since his switch from defence, booting 27 goals in seven matches including three six-goal hauls.
If Beau Wilkes has a good year for the Saints it will be the biggest come back since Lazarus. A 2nd round rookie selection for the Weagles in 2005 he was dropped by the Weagles and then re rookied in 2007. I hope he gets up this year as it will be a great story.
Do we find someone else to play FB and plonk Wilkes at FF? I've really missed having a genuine FF in the team. Kossie has definitely been up and down in that position.
I guess he was never going to get much of a go with Darren Glass there.
Maybe he was like Dean Cox - not getting much of a go when he first started because of Gardi

I put him in the Gamble class. This time last year SS was almost viewing Gamble as the saviour (the 3rd fwd we need rah rah rah). Great VFL/WAFL. Not quite AFL. No real position. A bit of almost everything but ultimately a nothing player at the top level.

Beau meaning and name origin
Beau \beau\ as a boy's name (also used as girl's name Beau), is pronounced boh. It is of French origin, and the meaning of Beau is "handsome; admirer; sweetheart". Short form of Beauregard, and of modern coinage. Use as a given name is probably due to the hero of P.C. Wren's novel "Beau Geste" (1924) or to the character of Beau Wilks in Margaret Mitchell's "Gone with the Wind" (1936).

Maybe WA media are now going to feel the love for the saints a bit more - we now have a local boy coaching us. Brad and Karl have in the past never been that enamored with the Saints. Boy is that changing quickly!!!
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Give the guy a chance before you start bagging him. You know what they say about opinions.

Wilkes fits with the Collingwood recruitment model- players that perform in big games. Scott may have adapted this strategy, it relies on a certain psychology being present in certain people who take control and become more assertive when needed.
Still say we will use him down back though. If he is our FB he is possibly the most important recruit we have.
