Remember when - 1992 season
to test your current memory ability and so I can fill some spaces
Round 7 1992 at Moorabbin
vs Adelaide with Bickley, Hart McGuiness and co
Saints demolished them and the crowd Booed Brett Bowey for trying for goal rather than Kick to Tony
Question:- what had happened that week that made it memorable for Tony that he come out and Kick 10( 1 after the siren) ...- they mentioned something with the Tribunal- but he played so obviously not suspended.
BTW Tim Allen got the brownlow 3 votes

first game that I took my then girlfriend (now wife) to. We stood in the outer (where I always stood). I loved the game, but she did say to me in no uncertain terms that if i ever wanted her to come with me to a game, again then i had to buy seats in the stand !!
From that point on, I had to sit in the grandstand at Moorabbin until we moved to Waverley.
I did her a great favour by converting her from following Richmond. she did me a great favour in marrying me. After all these years, I reckon we are about even

Luckily Plugger didn't have a cousin Jack Lockett playing for the Tigers or you may not have swayed the missus

I was also at the ground. It was unbelievable. My memory is that Plugger had 9 up to half time, I would love someone to confirm or debunk the following.
My memory is that he took a mark, or got a free, in Social Club pocket at the South Rd end just before half time. He played on and kicked what would have been his 10th before half time.
The white maggot blew his whistle and called him back, making him kick over the mark so the goal didn't count. The siren then sounded and he either missed the set shot or the umpire called play on as he again went around the mark. So the half was over.
Is my memory close to what happened, or had a had too many VB's before hlf time?

The game I am thinking of was his first for the year, coming back after suspension or injury at Moorabbin. I think it was Adelaide's first year. We won by around 130 points for memory.saintbrat wrote:his tenth was afer the final siren but didn't take enough notice of when the 9th came up
I remember him getting tired after half time but I'm sure he kicked more than 10. Maybe 11 or 12.

Just googled it. It was round 7 1991 and he had 9 at half time and went on to kick 12. Still love to know if anyone can remember if he nearly had his 10th on the half time siren but it was tyaken off him

That was the first time we'd ever played Adelaide at Moorabin...131 pt win, Hughes dragged in front of the members as plugger kicked another...sweet memories of that day.mcadam05 wrote:Your thinking the year before 1991 not 19928856brother wrote:I was also at the ground. Yes, my memory is that he played on and kicked number 10 but the ump was setting the mark and called it back.8856brother wrote:Just googled it. I can't remember what he did with the next kick - obviously missed it - we were too busy booing!
