Raph or Zac.....what a choice..

Reality is while Zac is 195cm, played some good games he's also a liability 1 out and loses/takes eyes off the ball constantly.

Raph provides some super run from defence and then undoes all this by proceeding to think....then bounce the ball, drop the ball, get run down from behind while the stadium screams for his blood....

Id keep Zac purely for structure - nothing else, BUT he aint ever gonna be a great FB IMHO...serviceable.......that'll do for now...
Zac was voted the best Saints player in the 2010 finals series, along with Lenny Hayes. Doesn't that mean anything in your book? It's an extraordinary achievement, and one which I feel was wholly merited.
I'll be devastated if we fail to keep Zac. Retaining him should be our first priority.

Bout as much as Grams 2009 GF - big holes there.

Hayes does it weekly - one series dont make a summer...

Zac still has massive deficiencies 1 out (just how underrated was Max Hudgton..) and gets enormous help from those round him peeling off their man.

I did say I would keep him - but he's no Matthews Scarlett......lets not kid ourselves..

That's Max that had bags kicked on him at times too. I remember Nietz slaughtering hudgton one day. People seem to think that Zac should have 0 goals kicked on him every week while they forget that all defenders have goals kicked on them. Guys like SOS and Max would have 10 frees every week against them these days for jumping into their mans back.

Dumb comment.

Id suggest Silvagni/Hudgton would have adapted their game styles to todays rules as most players do.

Neitz kicked bags on Max multiple times - what ure point?

1 out in the goal square ball coming in high.....who u backing to get a fist in their.....Dawson? or Hudgton?

I know who Id take.

It's rarely a one out these days as we and Riewoldt (has) have found out over the course of his career.. there's 3 defenders now getting their fists to the ball and much less space for Nick to work in and use his aerobic ability.

So you can't compare Frawley and even Hudghton vs Dawson.

Bottom Line

If a player doesn't want to play for you, then move him on; irrespective of who he is. That's the correct policy. Ask Kenny Dalglish. Torres wanted out. Off you go, boy. They ended up with Suarez, a gun.
