are you an afl stooge?
maybe if you read some posts, i now and then dont agree with something someone posts
like this morning, in the slogan thread
didnt agree
highly un sheep like
where as you have to dissagree with everything that shows any criticism of the afl
but of course you back it up with facts

Well that is why it is good to compare that to other teams in order to get a better picture of the draw. The draw comes out and people discuss and analyse which is perfectly normal unless you are a stoic.plugger66 wrote:You would think the AFL would give us all the favours. also, need to look at how many opposing teams have 6 day breaks againts us when we have 7 days or more to get a net number.
Round 4 vs Fremantle - 6 days
Round 8 vs West Coast - 8 days (we travel there!)
Round 9 vs Sydney - 7 Days
Round 10 vs Richmond - 6 days
Round 12 vs Adelaide - Bye - 13 days
Round 15 vs Essendon - 7 days
Round 19 vs Collingwood - 7 days
Round 21 vs Geelong - 7 days
What ever way you look at it, round 8 to 10 is a killer. Going to Perth on a six day break then having two consecutive games facing teams on a longer break after that on six day break is a killer.

Happened in 2006 as well (Monday-Sunday-Saturday-Friday)
What happened in those games?
Port Adelaide beat us by scoring every time they went inside 50
Sirengate
Kosi fractured skull
Banger's record breaking game (which we lost)

Strange but I seem to be with majority on here who say who cares about a 6 day break so I am agreeing with most. Maybe you need to read the whole thread as it seems I didnt disagree with most.matrix wrote:are you an afl stooge?

They walk amongst us...
Yep that is the hard part of the draw but every team gets hard parts of the draw. We also have the best start to the year out of every side. It is impossible to get the draw even, even you played everyone twice because of 6 days breaks and travel.SaintPav wrote:Well that is why it is good to compare that to other teams in order to get a better picture of the draw. Well yes, of course but it's good to take a closer look at the draw as well and that's what we were doing.plugger66 wrote:Yep that is the hard part of the draw but every team gets hard parts of the draw. That is only your opinion and guess what, others are allowed to have an opinion, funny thing I know. As an interstater I think its very average because -plugger66 wrote:Better to find a negative out of a great draw.matrix wrote:fancy coming on here and saying the complete opposite of what others say
all the time
who would think that would happen?
No home games for opening and closing rounds AGAIN. 6 twilight games. Only 4 MCG games. 2 back to back interstate trips. More 6 days breaks than any other team. And as an interstater, only 2 Sat night games. Not overly thrilled at all. Not sure the WA fans will like it either.
Unless you like picking at those who enjoy doing so... Who would do that though?matrix wrote:of course it is.
see who plays who and where before they play us the following week
look at the travel
the breaks
the time slots of games
its always fun to pull apart the draw and study it

I get a net number of 3. Not quite sure if that means anything.HSVKing wrote:2 Sunday, April 8 Gold Coast SUNS @ Etihad Stadium - 8 days (St K 7 days)SaintPav wrote:also, need to look at how many opposing teams have 6 day breaks againts us when we have 7 days or more to get a net number.

Once again... read the thread without the negativity in your own head.clarky449 wrote:Always someone. Jee some supporters must want to play ALL games at Etihad. We have a good draw and stop looking for small things to bag.
This is simply breaking down the fixture and seeing what we are up against in the season ahead. I don't see one comment about 'The AFL hate us' or 'We should play every game in Melbourne' in this entire thread.
Do people come on here to try and make trouble?
