Not being smart - but why are you happy with this? Can you tell us something about what he has done with Sth Fremantle?

How about - it's sportsnewsfirst as the source - which should be renamed madeupsportsnewsfirstbecausewearecrap.com

Kim hagdorn has missed the real reason Jaymie Graham retired from the Eagles. Just a few details missing.
See Emma Quayle's article to get a bit of the true background
http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/t ... -j860.html

It was to show the character of the man. Jaymie Graham's ability may not have been that of a superstar but his life journey puts him in an excellent position to develop and mentor.

I'll just add, if you want to see the worst leg injury ever.

I am still hurting from 71;
my gut churns thinking of 97;
2009 was agony,
2010a was a pleasure to watch only to be devastated by 2010 b.
It hurts barracking for the Saints

Would this mean Hudson will have a new role? Possibly Sandy coach?

How's Green's 'Oh God Almighty...'

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Perhaps thats mean HUDSON as Assistant...

Post: # 1169266Post WinnersOnly »

Perhaps thats mean HUDSON as Assistant...Hopefully in a forward coaching role and move Kingsley to defensive role if Maxie Hughton cant do it.

I see Schofield is interested as well - give him the midfield.

Laidley as opposition adn team analyst.

It is starting to look like a pretty handy collection...

Hudson is Head of Development ... basically like Development Manager.

The Saints are increasing their $ spent in this area by 300% over the next 12-18 months, so I would expect that Hudson will eventually have 3-4 people reporting to him.

Graham will be a development and welfare coach, working with/for Hudson, but I would expect Hudson to keep his current role.

Yes from what you hear, and also comments on BF, both former WCE
big men Graham and Seaby were decent blokes, and clever footballers.
He's only 28 - I'm pleased with this appointment.

I'm sure Watters in interviews mentioned improving/expanding the Development side.

All good - but I hope he is given a mentor, coz he has no direct experience in this role.

Ah yep that makes sense. Wouldnt mind seeing him take on the Zebs coaching job still though.

This is looking like a new era for the Saints. Very promising.

i wish i could be as confident as you guys. we're just signing on some random dudes who no-one really knows that much about, and who will be performing roles that we have absolutely no visibility of. they might be great, they might be poor, but i don't really see how any of them are objectively any better than the others we had on the coaching staff this year.

I agree and reality is how would we ever know that? at some point we have to let Watters have his head (cause he will live and die by it).

What I would like to see is an experienced AFL assistant come on board cause many of these guys seem to have little real AFL experience.
