I note that of Greg's 17 games, only three were wins. In two of those wins, Michael Nettlefold played, but only once on the winning side. Grant Thomas played in the first two wins before he was badly injured in Round 10 of 1983 and was never the same player again, in fact, never played for the Saints again, moving to North and then Fitzroy. I can't recall what happened to Greg Packham and why he only played two years. Perhaps it was another injury.

Right on Reynolds.Apparently Saints player cleaned up Callery but wouldn't own up till after the game as it seemed to have motivated turn around.

Yes I think Paul did swallow his tongue.
But the team and us spectators thought some Hawthorn mongrel had cleaned him up.
The incident inspired a 10 goal turnaround win.

It was only the next day we found out it was actually friendly fire from Cat Colling.
