nope. the kid may never be a successful footballer so he needs to make the most of the few years he has in the game. i have trouble blaming him for taking a hike to a more well-paid job.

In future it may be safer to only sponsor players who have at least two years to run on their contracts :idea: :wink:

Very disappointed to see a player that I sponsored, and my club spent two years developing just walk out because his Irish d**khead mate said "Come to Sydney it's warmer".

Get him off this forum forever.

Forget the Irish for good. McDermott and Begley were duds, and this bloke shows he has no ticker.

Walsh came to Australia to make it as an AFL footballer and to make money, not to please St Kilda fans. Don't blame Walsh, blame Lyon for not playing him and whoever handled the contracts over the last ~5years who left us with little room to move in situations such as this. Yeah remove him from the banner but why does anyone who leaves the Saints suddenly become an antichrist?
