Firstly I live in East Bentleigh and have all my life. Dont worry what the computer says. Secondly why would I hide behind a moron like that. I think people may realise I say what I think. Thirdly that is nothing like my posting style. And finally it may still be me or it may not. The fascination is amazing though.ozrulestrace wrote:Plugger66 under a new user name?oakleighboy wrote:Quite simply,

I actually am worried that you take footy so seriously (coming from the borderline obsessed) at the end of the day it's a game. We got through the 1980s and it was still fun to watch. If it causes you a disproportionate amount of pain to watch sometimes it's better to watch another sport -do something different.
good luck with it man, cheer up life is good, f*** if we fold our lives will be no worse off. My ex was a fitzroy supporter and I saw the end of a club and how it was taken. She was from a family with Fitzroy players and she got over it pretty quickly. It sounds like the end of the world having footy club issues but it's pretty insignificant in the real world.

Gee, we are in crisis, have any of our stars left, no.
We have a new coach who is inpressing everyone so far and is not of the bargain basement variety, wow in crisis.
Yes we lost money last year, let's wait for the annual report to see if there we're exceptional circumstances this season as we made profits in both 09 and 10.
Think you'll find one crazy school girl did more damage the image of this club then many think.
Of course the guys we picked up in trade week and those we are about to recruit in the draft (according to some on this forum) will refuse to play for us because they don't wnat to go to that mosquito infested swamp that apparently requires a passport and a couple of visas to get to down there at Seaford.
Yes Harv's has left and so has King, but Harv's showed his class in his statement and still indicates he wants to come back, King, has a close personal relationship with Sanderson.
If we get Laidley, that will be a good back up coach pick up.
I even think BJ will stay next year, why, well, Ablett when he left Geelong had won a couple of premierships and was going to get paid a lot of money to live and work on the Gold Coast, certainly has it's attraction.
BJ's option is Western Sydney, don't think he will find that anywhere near as exciting or pleasant a place to live and work no matter what the money.
Now, it is inevitable we are going to go down, that is the cycle of things, who we recruit now and who we can bring on will determine how long that trough is.
Consider this though, we we're absolutely hopless in 2000, 4 years later top 4 and contenders. If we can repeat that pattern, we will be fine.

Robert spoke on radio yesterday about the focus and determination of the St. Kilda player group to continually meet the challenges that are thrust upon them. He had no doubt that the players would respond very positively to the new challenge and OPPORTUNITY before them.
I'm with Robert Harvey and i'm not near ready to loose confidence in the resilience and positivity of this excellent St. Kilda team.

Kimmie lost us valuably sponsorship contracts that would have flowed from our GF appearances and add to that all the legal costs, from that and Lovett and you can see where the finances stretched.3rd generation saint wrote:Gee, we are in crisis, have any of our stars left, no.

The less people like you we have supporting our club the better!
When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss
