Delisted from the Hawks. Premiership player. He goes very well and would add great depth and best of all wouldnt cost much. Also Pelchan may like him. Pretty sure he will come to us.

Would be a great pick up.

Especially with a later 60's or 70's pick..

But I'm sure most clubs are thinking the same, so it'd be worth using our first pick, 25, on him.. 2 years great value, at minimum.. About to hit his prime.

Get him saints!!..

He's 27. Do we want someone that old?

I'm sure Lyon may have, but I'm not sure about Watters.

Ross Lyon is gone; no need to look at rejects from other clubs.

The idea that selecting rejects is bad policy is just silly. Lots of great players are recycled. The ones you don't want are first round draft picks exchanged for duds. Late speculative picks are ok. Lyon's policy wasn't bad just some of the talent wasn't there. The percentages for a player taken at pick 76 getting more than a couple of games is pretty low the percentages for recycled players would be substantially higher.

there are some great players out there delisted because they didn't get going or couldn't get a spot. Not all should be written off.

Don't worry though Plugger 66 is probably just shitting every one by trying to see who bites then ridiculing them for agreeing with him- he is that bored.

I have no issue with picking up younger players from other clubs that may have some promise, but not rejects that have had a go and arn't up to it.

There's a reason he fell out of favor at Hawthorn... Can't play on anyone, lacks aggression and speed and nous. Was a benefactor of the 'rolling zone' that hid him in Hawthorns 2008 premiership team, been found out since. I know he has had an average run injury-wise, but I'd be disappointed to see him at the club.

We should pick up Lewis Roberts-Thomson when he gets delisted next year.

Another opportunity awaits!

Can't believe anyone would consider a guy that is not considered good enough anymore in a club that is trying to win a flag. If we go down that path we are saying we are a very average team & have given up on trying to win a flag.

Very rarely through the trade do you actually get a good solid match winning player. Judd was an exception as was Ablett. Of all the players Ross got, not one of them has proved to be a star match winner. Yes they have all played good games but none stood up strong in any of our GF's. You are always best to get in young players and develop them, something Ross was not prepared to do or have the ability to do.

He is injury prone but an ok player. the hawks got Gunston and so have taken that extra forward spot away.
Which players that we developed stood up in GFs? There is no problem with recycling, it is a gamble -like recruiting any player.

Agree there is nothing wrong with recruiting recyled players as long as their age is 25 or younger plus we must have a glaring weakness in the squad. Ladson fullfils none of that criteria.

By the way Ross wasn't prepared to develop any young player. But with Watters he will do so. Shame Lynch & Walsh left as we will never see there improvement in our colours. We did see improvement in Gwilt, Gilbert all the rest were natural talent improving with experience. With Ross gone we will now see if our young talent is any good.

We don't want to become like Sydney.
Use our picks on youngens and develop them. One thing I am pleased about at Linen House is Chris Pelcham.I always thought he was good at Hawthorn. He would know Ladson better than any.
