Tommy Walsh following in the footsteps....

Didn't really think of this when I heard he's gone, but pretty ridiculous that it has happened so many times. Not many people realise Cazaly started at St Kilda. Not that Walsh will get anywhere near those guys, Atleast I hope not.

The Swans fans do love the marquee full-forward. Plugger was definitely one, Barry Hall less so.
And for us Saints fans, we must admit it was rather thrilling when we watched Plugger on the lead at Moorabbin,
knowing that nothing could stop him getting the footy, except a neutron bomb or a few dimmies.
You can only imagine that the Swans may be grooming Walsh to be next in line. For his sake I hope it works, for our sake I don't.

Now wait for Tommy to kick five goals in a match ...
... and for the usual St Kilda-hating commentators (what's Walls doing next year?) to immediately chime in with:
"St Kilda let this fella go ... wouldn't even give him a game ... and look at him now ... he's gonna be a star."
With no mention at all of Ro$$.

reckon Barlow was a far worse stuff up tbh.
Walsh will probably be okay, but Barlow would have been great for us.
Personally hate the position that Walsh defecting has put us in. That is, I have to bring negative sentiments into play again. I.e. Actively hope that Walsh has no success and fades away from the AFL back into obscurity as he left us.
I hate having to feel that way, but I can't help myself. I feel this way about Ball too. Devasted when he kicked the winner against the squawks in the prelim.
