That would have to be one of the biggest calls ever. Still he's gone so you can slam him nowBeno88 wrote:Inaccurate statement!
Luke Ball???
Remind me.. Who have the filth lost???
A player who was struggling to get a game is hardly a star.

Re: Salary Cap & Delisting
No doubt Luke Ball was once a star of the St.Kilda footy club, but the 2009 version of Luke Ball was a shadow of the footballer he once was. He was not a star for St.Kilda in his final couple of seasons with us, nor was he in his first season at Collingwood. It was great to see him fit and playing good footy again in 2011, but he certainly wasn't a star in 2009.MCG-Unit wrote:That would have to be one of the biggest calls ever. While I understand your need to pick on everything I post, I was referring to your comment " think they'll be ripe for the picking when their younger stars like Suckling, Smith and Shiels hit their straps and demand some good coin." They lost McGlynn and Kennedy in that exact situation.tweedaletomanning wrote:Sorry don't mean to be mean but..Beno88 wrote:Hawthorn had to let Kennedy and McGlynn go.tweedaletomanning wrote:See.. there's a right way and a wrong way..St Ick wrote:We are definitely not the only one. Carlton and Collingwood will lose players this year due to the salary cap.
Geelong lost King due to salary cap. Ablett leaving definitely helped their situation. Also lost Mumford as couldn't match his salary ala Tommy Walsh.
Unsure how Hawthorn have kept their stars, then added to it, I think they'll be ripe for the picking when their younger stars like Suckling, Smith and Shiels hit their straps and demand some good coin.
So while the media are focussing on us, we aren't alone and we are suffering for our own 'relative' success.
Your arguments are getting worse...
NEITHER of them were in their premiership side, sooo....
