Is Stanley now the new messiah?

Post: # 1165058Post sainterinsydney »

Considering Tommy has packed his bags for greener pastures, and from Watters comments that he feels Stanley could be a cog in the forward line, is Stanley now the new messiah for the forward line?

in short YES.

Cahill and Will J are long shots to put it mildly.

The "greener pastures" are in Ireland.

It is hopeful thinking that this will happen after bombing out at the Swans. :)

So, realistically, what is our best forward line next year?

FF: Milne Stanley Cripps
HF: Sipposs Roo Schneids

I reckon "Fev" at FF would be brilliant....

Hopefully he sees this as a golden opportunity...needs to extract a digit, if he survives the end of season cull.

Paul Cahill will be the surprise packet of 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Unless he gets delisted, then I might change my pick).

Sarcasm. Fev is officially a waste of time at our club. Picks when to chase, poor attitude and I reckon he is close to past it anyway.

It would. He would put the forward line under a lot of pressure. The whole club in fact.

He actually does provide good forward pressure...we've had this discussion before, and I'm pretty sure we decided you were mistaken.

think i agree with p66 for once re fev. But there is another thread on fev. lets stick to stanley.

he is the man now. like many of our young players he was disillusioned and unmotivated by the ross lyon 4 year apprenticeship scheme. As would anyone be.

What if you chose a career and the boss said - ok son you are going to be a apprentice/clerk for 4 years.
Especially for gen Y's. Lyon simply could not connect with this group.

If you mean Kosi then maybe but cant remember it. If you mean Rooy i doubt it but he isnt the greatest tackler in the game. And least he doesnt pick and choose when to chase.

Surely you are taking the pee. Stanley delisted, absolutely no way known! Especially now that Lynch and Walsh are gone.

You've noted his glowing performances over the last 2 seasons, and previous pre-season. Why would I be kidding?

Let's all start talking Stanley up again at least we will get a good pick for him next season. But seriously, Stanley has all the tools at his disposal and could be anything if he wants it bad enough.
