If heaven is full of christians playing this game, being an athiest isn't so bad after all.
What a s.hit game played by neanderthals. Relies on brute animal strength and the ability to jump on people.
Idiots game. A perfect fit for New Zealanders.

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Geez BM, AFL is dominated by scores from turnovers.BigMart wrote:Disgusting to watch.....frustrating

I reckon RU's as dull as dishwater (and becoming more so every year), but preying on error isn't the exclusive domain of just the shitty games...
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

What's with that Haka rubbish at the start?
Why do our guys stand and cop it?
We should either just turn our backs and ignore them or give them a bit of an Aussie version.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

union has so many nuances and roles that it's no doubt beyond the ken of the average afl fan (well, jb and bm at least ). knock it if you like. i prefer aussie rules, but we don't have anything comparable to world cup level.
pity the wallabies played like sh!t, but those who watched would realise if an afl team brought that same ferocious tackling intensity as the ABs did, they would romp to a flag.
(excepting unfortunately that our umps would crucify them for deliberately hurting their opponents and scaring soccer mums).

lol - I playesd RU and League as a kid. Both games are for the stupid and brutish. I know all the rules and roles and I would say have seen more test matches than many (and live when I was uninformed and lived in Sydney).desertsaint wrote:union has so many nuances and roles that it's no doubt beyond the ken of the average afl fan (well, jb and bm at least ). knock it if you like. i prefer aussie rules, but we don't have anything comparable to world cup level.

As for a World Cup = pfft what a joke. Just like the cricket World Cup, about 4 teams can win it.
Only true football WC is soccer.

Why have you lived on NZ for 16 years?Schillaci wrote:Disappointing result.
Having lived in NZ for 16 years I can tell you that for non rugby people such as myself it must be at least the equivalent of a Collingwood Premiership to non Collingwood Victorians. It is the national sport, their national team and all they ever talk about. Yawn!
Do you have a sheep fetish?

jb the world cup has been won six times - with four different winners.
in the fifa world cup the ratio was the same - 2 single winners, two double winners after the first six. after the first 15 only two more teams had won it.
re webb-ellis - in total some eight teams have already made the semis. on their day any of those eight could have won it.
it is the fourth largest sporting event on the globe (after the fifa wc, summer olympics, and the tour de france).
it was for years here (as in britain and nz) the domain of the well heeled university educated. i would suspect that the average wallaby would be a fair bit smarter than the average galah (or whatever it is we named our international series team).
i suspect you know this and are happilying stirring the pot again - private school tory scum!
but carry on
