Interesting that a player that doesn't want to go to Sydney would go there anyway for a medical......strange things happen in the AFLSaintSimmo wrote:I think people need to get it out of their minds that Walsh WANTS to go to Sydney.
Only the Herald Sun has said this (they have made it up).
Pelchen has not said he WANTS to leave, he said there has been interest in him from other clubs.
I am confident he will stay
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Yep, money talks allright.
From day one, some months ago, Clarks management kept mentioning 600k a season, and by reports, thats exactly what Melbourne have paid him over 4 years.
l've seen a fair bit of Clark play over the last 3-4 seasons, and he's a good player with a fair bit of upside in him, but IMO is extremely inconsistent.
Will be interesting to see if he can play consistent footy at Demons.

Melbourne have been desperate for a big forward for a while. Watts and Clark forward, Jamar and Martin to ruck.mad saint guy wrote:Stewie Lowe repeatedly tried to convince St Kilda to draft Martin around 2004 when he was playing for his local club. Would have been good if they listened. But I imagine he might be looking elsewhere soon, because he's not gonna get a gig with three giants already in the team in Jamar, Clark and Watts.gringo wrote:Martin is apparently one to watch and was expected to be their main man in the future. He would be feeling pretty put out right about now. Smart guy too apparently.Cosmo Kramer wrote:If Clark has ended up at Melb then they have 4 ruckman so we could pinch one. They have stef martin, max gawn, jamar and now clark

The days of two monster forwards and two rucks are long gone. And Clark is a ruckman who can play forward, not the other way around. A full season in the ruck could mean AA selection, whereas a full season at FF might mean 50 goals. Expect him spend a fair bit of time in both roles
Hahahahaha... Yeh, ok.. Would wanna make the 8 first.Con Gorozidis wrote:If neeld is even half decent melbourne are going to be a serious powerhouse.
Sure they lost scully but they got decent compo for him.
Flag in 2 years.
Worst performed Vic based club (again) in '11.. Midfield going forward of Trengove and noone else.. Gysberts? McKenzie? Don't mention Jones or Big Bad Brent Ballony..
They have no hope, and overpaying an inconstant ruckman to be their FF adds to that..
All the experts will pick them as their big improvers (again, as with '09 & '10 & '11), and they'll fall in a heap, guaranteed.
Yep, their midfield is terrible. No chance of a flag in 2 years. Richmond are far closer than they are.Sobraz wrote:Hahahahaha... Yeh, ok.. Would wanna make the 8 first.Con Gorozidis wrote:If neeld is even half decent melbourne are going to be a serious powerhouse.
