max hudgton as a backline coach.
harvey probably wont stay so we need a midfield coach.
do we persist with kingsley as a fwd coach.
do we need a clearance coach?

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Mark Stevens is clearly a f*king idiot. Seaford is an easy 40min drive from the cbd (less from the inner east where they all live.) Takes longer than this for tossers like him to drive a lap of Chapel St or drive from Hawthorn to Sth Yarra on Toorak Rd.Spinner wrote:Mark Stevens just tweeted something of the lines of

f*** i hate this seaford place.
Very pleased to have Watters on board.
New coach, settled into their new home, no off field dramas and hopefully some exciting trades to come!
Am very excited about a positive and successful 2012!

I'm very very happy with the appointment abd the way we have conducted ourself since ross shock departure with a year to run on his contract. Perhaps unprcedented in modern day afl history.
Spare a thought for hinkley who has been a close 2nd and a bridesmaid on about 4 occassions now.
Welcome aboard scotty

I was thinking about that today. Brian Royal also miised out on a number of senior gigs about 10 years ago. Time has moved on since and I rekon there might be something in that.Con Gorozidis wrote: Spare a thought for hinkley who has been a close 2nd and a bridesmaid on about 4 occassions now.

Teflon
His appointment is completely and utterley mutually exclusive from Ayres Footballing history...
I too, countless times (not sure why you dont get it) have mentioned that I would prefer a CONTEMPORARY coach...
I just pointed out to you, that the notion that Ayres was Hopeless and had no idea and was a FAILURE as a coach was ridiculous......he is absolutely respected in the industry by smarter men than me and you
and used some historical facts to back that point up, you can dismiss the facts and give your opinion of course and spin it how you want....
you obvious return....why did he not get the job...
Football is a trend business, clubs follow what is the current successors are....its the trendsetter howebere that take home success....
VFL players, directors of coaching, fitness camps....all trends
and in the sub committees eyes he was the best candidate....that doesnt make it absolute fact....but its a start
Watters has fulfilled one part of the job...he got the gig...now the second part is succeeding
Dean Bailey went through an exhaustive process....was seen as a great candidate...as did mark harvey, brad scott

What I liked was that it was written from the POV of and signed by the new coach. Nice touch!Dr Spaceman wrote:+1evertonfc wrote:Got the members email 10 minutes before the official announcement.
Nice touch.
Shows the fans haven't been completely forgotten.
I feel all warm and cuddly.
