I like a 3 way deal with the Crows & Tigers

Lynch, Maric & Connors (plus a mix of picks)

Connors gives us elite kicking & releases BJ into more dangerous positions.

If were in a position to bring players in (which I don't think we are) Macaffer from the Filth would be a massive upgrade on Gamble (strong, quick & skilfull).

According o the Herald Sun, pick 37 has gone directly to Richmond for Ivan Maric...

UPDATE 9.13am: IVAN Maric is now a Tiger after a deal for the ruckman was struck between Richmond and Adelaide this morning.

It is believed a swap for pick No.37 was finalised a short time ago.
More to come.

It's great to see that "at last" we have someone on the Recruiting side, with a few footy smarts. :!:

Pick 37 doesn't sound great to me, but Lynch doesn't have good AFL level skills. With Pelchen, I think that he will do better with pick 37 than our former recruiters could do with Pick 20. :!:

Still waiting on final pick trade. Lynch wanted to go home apparently so all in all probably an ok deal.

I thought home for him was brighton...didn't he play at Sandy dragons with Jack watts and coached by Stewie Loewe

Maybe. That's what I read earlier in the week.

Good family friends with Stewart Loewe as well. He apparently got in the clubs ear about him.

He got drafted at 13 because he was the best forward available at that time.

Lack of opportunity, commitment, injury, whatever has meant that he has not lived up to expectation. The kid will probably become a very good player with the chances that Sanderson will give him.

And then people on here will whinge how we let him go.

You're exactly right. Most good footy judges had him pegged as a second rounder in that draft & a lot were surprised he got taken that high.

I think this is the perfect example of our recruiters getting things very wrong. I can't recall the draft exactly but I do remember all the talk about him being "future leadership potential" and there wasn't much about his skills. Another wasted first rounder.

He'll be a handy flanker, loose man in defence or something like that...we didn't get that pick right. I'm very confident with this.

It will be interesting to see who we get for Pick 37.

That will enable us to decide how good the deal was, or wasn't for us.

Pick 37 would be a very fair get for Lynch.

Almost over the odds.

He is useless.

he might only have been useless becuase of the way Lyon treated him. lack of opportunities, and being played out of posisition at Sandy. I wonder if we had our own vfl team that lynch would have been played in his proper position and by now we would have a godd half forward .?

I think it has more to do with, Slow as treacle, not a good decision maker, and a poor kick under pressure.

Yes. On bigfooty and here I have said numerous times that Lynch is no good.

:)

I was hoping for one more preseason under his belt before a decision was made.

Especially because he had that health issue plaguing him in 2010.

Perhaps Crows have convinced him he is further ahead in the pecking order there?

I would certainly want to see all of Walsh, Stanley and Siposs get a go before him (no offence of course) and maybe he saw that was probably the case as well.
