Why wouldnt he be cheap?#1GILL wrote:Would not be cheap at all. Not sure what we could offer that would satisfy the Dockers, but it would need to be a lot. Freo now have picks 16 & 20, which could be used for Mitch Clark.
I also hope we make a play for Zac Clarke by (easily) convincing him he won't get much opportunity under Ross as he'll behind Sandi, Griffin and Clark.
Zac Clarke would be a great ready made and CHEAP option to have running at second ruck.
BANG BANG
Can't see anyone working him out of Freo.
Sure he has shown promise but with Sandilands and Mitch Clarke (if he gets there) how may opportunites will he have at senior level.
If we can get Dawson (who Freo and Lyin have said they are intrested in) and a 3rd rounder over to them for Clarke and put him on base wage I cant see that being an issue
Its all dependant on opportunites and we have a spot at second ruck up for grabs Freo might not

If Clarke decides he wants to leave, and we offer Dawson and a 3rd rounder to Freo then there will be better offers from at least 6 other clubs I'd say. This bloke is extremely promising and has shown way more than that.Hurricane wrote:Why wouldnt he be cheap?#1GILL wrote:Would not be cheap at all. In any case,Melbourne have made a big play for Mitch Clark, which probably won't get through given he wants to go to WA, but he aint there yet at any rate.
He would demand a lot more than base wage as well. If Gunston can get 300k or whatever he's on, Clarke would be able to get at least that as well.
Interesting from the afl site...
[quote]Terry Milera, of the Port Adelaide Magpies, has shown improvement in his running and consistency throughout the year.

Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...
From Saad's profile last year....
Which AFL player do you feel you resemble and why?
Cyril Rioli, because of my speed and forward pressure. Lance Franklin for my ability to mark on the lead.
I know what he means, but he is about 25cms shorter! Buddy Saad does have a big of a ring to it though. I'm not sure about the other kid, looks more like a rookie for mine, I'm probably wrong though, very early days (I just wanted to be the one to say I told you so! haha jk)

schneids is smart and tough but not quick.
siposs is 189cm clever mid sized fwd but not quick.

This isn't exactly an indication of his footballing ability, but the following YouTube link has an interview with Ahmed Saad from last month. I think he speaks very well for a young player, and identifies some of his weaknesses that he was working on with the Bullants coaches:
The interview starts around the 7mins 50secs point, so skip forward to that point. The sound quality isn't great, but is okay with headphones on.
Apologies if this link has been posted elsewhere.
