Q. AND why is it happening?Sainterman wrote:I would suggest there will be some movement after the best and Fairest is done...I would strongly suggest Westaway will not be President in about a weeks time.
Post this change, and perhaps a few others at Board level, Nettlefold will be accountable for his actions going foward, which he certainly has not been until now.
This is more than a rumour. It is happening and thank goodness for that!!!

Can anyone confirm that what i previously posted was correct?Ice Wolf wrote:Didn't the last AGM introduce ammendments that limited the number of terms the president could be in the position for barring extraordinary circumstance, along with a number of other changes in corporate governance
Westaway has been in the position for about 5yrs the board are probably just sounding ot his successor in the position.
I believe this might just be a Kennett/Hawthorn type situation. Excpet our guy isn't a loudmouth former politician who loves the sound of his own voice and has an opionion on everthing and would like you to know it.

Motion proposed to implement 6 year max period for board members.
"To inject new life in to the board"
One lady spoke against it citing Eddie Maguire and Frank Costa as examples of presidents you might want to keep longer than 6 years.
Another gent asked could there be an exemption by special ballot.
Simon Grant pointed out that was already in the modification.
Passed.
So in other words probably nothing to see here and the Journos just haven't done their research again.PakenhamSaint wrote:I went back and found the thread and yes it is true:Ice Wolf wrote:Can anyone confirm that what i previously posted was correct?Ice Wolf wrote:Didn't the last AGM introduce ammendments that limited the number of terms the president could be in the position for barring extraordinary circumstance, along with a number of other changes in corporate governance

Hope you are right and Nettlefold is sent packing too. Is your source reliable? Is it an internal source and would you name them?Sainterman wrote:I would suggest there will be some movement after the best and Fairest is done...I would strongly suggest Westaway will not be President in about a weeks time.
