Jason Gram on twitter re: Coach & Fitness Coach

The only possible reason would be to gauge how fit the players were at the end of the season. Three weeks of rest since the their last match and players bodies would be cherry ripe for a TT.
The time trial is a not a pre season TT, it is a post season TT to compare to the pre season TT of 2010. This way the coaches can guage whether enuogh fitness work is being done in the first half of the season to prepare for finals.
A three k TT is not a complete picture of fitness for a footballer but is something measurable and comparable. It also represents a combination of endurance and speed. Both needed in todays game.
Gram needs to be traded - My wife's girlfriends are friends with him and I see his facebook posts- Not what St Kilda needs is all I will say and no wonder he hasnt improved. Far too busy enjoying the lifestyle and pay an AFL player gets. Cant believe Ross kept him for so long

Stupid thing for Gram to say. With so much work these days going into building a professional, hard-working image for the club I can't believe Gram would throw this snide little sarcastic remark out into the world for the media to lap up as a culture issue. No, it's not the end of the world, but it is a selfish, pointless act which is detrimental to the club (much like most of Gram's form over the past couple of years).

We have an interim coach in Robert Harvey. Surely Jas would see doing a time trial in front of one of the greatest players in this clubs history as something worth doing.
And I'm sure there'll be someone there to hold the stop-watch, write down the time and give him a gatorade...
Now #1 a right to express his views and I understand what said on Twitter can be taken with a grain of salt but please show some respect (when talking publicly) about the staff at the club. And especially Harves.
OHEMGEE a time-trial infront of Robert Harvey?....k

Jason,
When I don't have a boss I still do my job.
You get paid to do it, so do it, regardless of who is or isn't there.
This tweet reflects poorly on you but also degrades your employer.
The club you barracked for and who traded for you.
Keep thoughts like this to yourself but if you don't want to be part of it, there's the door.
The fact you think needing a coach and fitness guy there probably reflects why you have never truly fulfilled your potential.
Would 18, 12, 7 or 26 be saying that sort of rubbish? No.
From rumours I hear your lifestyle commitment is pretty poor too.
You can be traded as far as I'm concerned.
Regards,
Cameron

I would like nothing more for them to rock up and realise that there is trade week next week and I wouldn't be surprised to see pelchin to use the time trial as a bit of motivation for who he might but up for trade.
Thats Mr. Smartarse to you

That shows the cluture we have at our club, it starts from the top & flows down. You do not need superstars to win a premiership all you need is the right attitude which we are clearly lacking.Saints43 wrote:Jason Gram wrote:Awesome, 3k time trial on sat with no coach or fitness coach #whatthe

Regardless of his ability to drag us to within an inch of a flag, any deficiencies in the area of attitude must be attributable to the guy who was in charge for 5 years.

This isn't so much in response to this current comment but just Gram's general attitude, the bloke seriously needs to pull his head in.Old Mate wrote:sarcastic and disrespectful from grammy...unnecessary. he should pull his head in and stop acting like a rock star.
Gram doesn't work nearly hard enough on or off the field IMO. He takes a lot for granted and is so far from a certain starter it's not even funny.
Give me Geary trying his guts out over Gram doing the bare minimum any day of the week.
