If a coach is out of the race, doesn't mean they've pulled out because they don't want to coach st kilda.
Despite others opinions, I think we're a professional club and we are not about to come out and say we think Cameron/Burns/Eade are shite coaches so we are not going to interview them.
The club would have taken applications, sounded a few out. Now they go onto the interview stage with their preffered candidates.

That's right, better to look like you are not interested, rather than have been rejected…shmic_s wrote:If a coach is out of the race, doesn't mean they've pulled out because they don't want to coach st kilda.

I didn't say they were my preferred choices, but they were all considered strong candidates by many in the media and on forums.stinger wrote:you gotta be kidding.....all duds imhfo.....saintlee wrote:Hadn't heard that one...if true would mean no Eade, Hinkley, Burns, Cameron...all considered strong candidates.....Spinner wrote:Ive heard Hinkley is out. Harvey will be the only one left and will get the job by default!saintlee wrote:Hadn't heard that one...if true would mean no Eade, Hinkley, Burns, Cameron...all considered strong candidates.....Spinner wrote:Ive heard Hinkley is out. Will confirm.
When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss
Lets face it you wouldnt have a clue about 3 of them. Actually, sorry i wont go on.stinger wrote:you gotta be kidding.....all duds imhfo.....saintlee wrote:Hadn't heard that one...if true would mean no Eade, Hinkley, Burns, Cameron...all considered strong candidates.....Spinner wrote:Ive heard Hinkley is out. i remember not that long ago we were 100% getting John Longmire as coach with Chris Bond and Guy McKenna the top three candidates with Matt Rendell and Ross Lyon as after thoughts ...
when GT first got sacked talk was all about Ayres Mathews and Garry Lyon ....

John Longmire will be played by Watters ,Chris Bond will be played by Hinkley ,Guy McKenna will be played by Richardson ,Matt Rendell will be Harvey Gary Ayres will still be Garry Ayres and Ross Lyon will be played by Gavin Brown ...

Not this time IMO. A very conservative board so Watters is a certainty.st_Trav_ofWA wrote:going by history then ..thirty-seven!? wrote:Gerard Wheatley on 3AW has said we are interviewing Robert Harvey, Alan Richardson, Gary Ayres, Gavin Brown, Ken Hinkley and Scott Watters.
