having the father of a footballer identifying himself, on a football forum, saying things like they had to get Aaron away from the likes of you, would, in anybodys view be embarrassing.BigMart wrote:Please explain how i was embarrassing....joffaboy...i think most people (who havent got a little bias against me) read the situation correctly..

I dont have a bias against you, but it seems you have a victim mentality when challenged with your statements.
i sometimes agree with what you say, I usually dont. So what? I was introduced to you once and found you rude an arrogant. I would fresh air you if I ever saw you again. I dont give arrogant rude people a second chance.
That doesn't make me biased against your football views, just no respect for you as a person.

Nicely put. And reading this thread is embarrassing for Big Mart, who once upon a time was a must read for me back in the marto days. His exchange with P66 in this thread is embarrassing, particularly given some people's contributions to the St Kilda FC. I'll leave it at that.joffaboy wrote:having the father of a footballer identifying himself, on a football forum, saying things like they had to get Aaron away from the likes of you, would, in anybodys view be embarrassing.BigMart wrote:Please explain how i was embarrassing....joffaboy...i think most people (who havent got a little bias against me) read the situation correctly..

Are you blokes sticking up for him because of 'contributions to the football club' rather than agreeing with him purely based on the validity of his messages.SENsaintsational wrote:Nicely put. I wasn't sure why some on here were silent when P66 posted such drivel. JB is trying to paint it differently, but it seems like you're compromised in your rational thinking. Especially your comment JB calling others rude and arrogant...HA!! That's a good one coming from you.
If you want ss forum to be closed shop then fine - respect is given for 'who you are', what you've done and your contribution to the club. We each will know our level in the pecking order. If it's an open forum and there are new members joining all the time, then the message and the validity of opinions expressed should be the only things that count here.

I dont know what you are on about. I dont contribute to the footy club at all but I also dont lie unless it is a joke. This is no joke. Jack was signing with Saints even if RL was coaching next year. That isnt drivel. I am unsure how you can say you were told someone from horses mouth without mentioning it was from the horses mouth.Scollop wrote:Are you blokes sticking up for him because of 'contributions to the football club' rather than agreeing with him purely based on the validity of his messages.SENsaintsational wrote:Nicely put. Your pecking order would be quite low being a member for about 20 days and 77 posts on that time.Scollop wrote:Are you blokes sticking up for him because of 'contributions to the football club' rather than agreeing with him purely based on the validity of his messages.SENsaintsational wrote:Nicely put. My comments are only from a position of respect. Respect your fellow posters. Outrightly calling a poster a 'Liar' when that poster clearly has no idea on what the other poster knows or not is just disrespectful.
But that is what SS becomes....some of the time. Most of the time.
true story.....his family were really pissed off with judas.....don't have take my word for it...but i have a very good source.....and anyway...crackers keenan wrote a whole article on it in last weeks inside football... article actually approved by hec .....good enough for me....
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will

Wouldn't know you from a bar of soap, have never met you, so how in hell would you know what type of person I am?
Considering you have been around five minutes you really shouldn't put you nose into thing that don't concern you.

I'm a Saints supporter and this is a public forum fella, and the Saints concern me.
I don't know him from a bar of soap and I've never met him, but BM has a lot of bloody good opinions that I agree with.
Oh also, people being compromised concern me. A former president suing the former coach less than 6 months after sacking him concerns me. Our club going backwards for two years before going forwards concerns me. Losing assistant coaches of the calibre of the 2008 and 2009 team concerns me. Not developing forward options and not having at least another specialist forward apart from Milne concerns me. Players not getting a game when they deserve to be played in the seniors concerns me. Need I say more?

The more I hear, the more I can't believe some in here are upset at Lyin' leaving. Sheeesh! Jack Steven would have been a big loss IMO. A future long-term gun player for our club.
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!
Joffa, i have never met you
But you called me arrogant or something.....whilst that description is sometimes accurant....although unintentional...i can be vague or distracted, particularly when playing or watching sport
If i have met you, i certainly was not introduced to you......only occasions could have been...
I played two games in the forum matches......met a number of forumites, but cant remember specifics.....just barks and ilzy and a bloke with a headband.....and the little bloke who played alright....i think it was harvey something...long time ago...04 i reckon
In the other games met savatage and solar.....nice blokes
I ran into barks at etihad one night and said hello....outside of that never spoke to anyone from this site....

Whilst i do apologise to members for hijacking yet another thread....with the usual tit for tat.....
Put simply, i dont like how a certain poster dismisses some peoples thoughts or information as complete garbage....without anything but,
What they think and believe is a greater knowledge.... Patronising
Then of course i but in....and the same old chest nuts come out...
You pass things off as fact
Who would you have drafted in 2010
Some factual error i made last year....forgot what it was
Bringing up my interaction with Siposs' dad
Now its rhys in the gf sprint
And then his chronies join in......
Maybe i have to learn to but out..... I will try harder.....cant promise anything but

I was in the middle of a sentence, you talked over the top of me, and then walked off.
But really who cares, I dont want you as a friend, or an acquaintance, and I am sure the feeling is mutual.
BTW deleted your PM's - not at all interested.
What I AM interested in is your opinions on football. They are sometimes very good IMO, other times not good IMO.
Isn't that what a forum is for?

I wouldn't know P66 if I fell over him, all I said was I do know people who have had dealings with P66 and know he has some type of connection with the club.
I am certainly not a "crony" of P66 and if you look back over the time P66 has been on here, i have had more than one vast difference of opinion with him.
And does it really matter if he doesn't believe you? You cant change the way anyone thinks about you. I have absolutely no connection with the club apart from a membership, but I have friends and acquaintences through my profession and football and I get a hell of a lot of info about certain things in football.
if I posted the things I was told, I would have heaps of posters bagging me, so i just don't bother. And the fact that much is told in confidence.
I dont see why it is so important to have P66 or anyone believe what you say or no, if its true, its true, if not, its not.

Keenan is obviously troubled by a diarrhoea of words.... The contents of that passage are about as believable as this: "It is history now that Luke Ball was a hero of the drawn Grand Final...last year."Fidelis wrote:For what it's worth, here's an excerpt from the Keenan article. (So it was not history before, but it is history "now"??) Rewriting history is obviously Keenan's specialty. He has zero credibility. Only a bullsh!t artist with a giant axe to grind could dish up such patent balderdash.
Ok, Ok, I would like to make something clear. I am an official at the club... I am the President... and I am a Board member. And in fact, I am a player too. Well, in all reality, I am more than one player. We actually have a CIA-managed human body swap thingy going on... but it's top secret... you won't hear it except on a footy site, where some people may not even believe it. We have a lot of things you don't know, the grassy knoll, the fake moon landing, Area 51... and the body-swap thingy.
Mark my words... in 50 years time, it will all become public, and some of you will scratch your heads and think "Didn't I hear that on a footy forum?"
So, if anyone here says they heard it from a source at the club, or a player, or a board member, you will never know if you were really speaking to the individual themselves, or the body swap thingy person.
It also explains why some "players" lose form suddenly... or look like they are playing in a 40 year old's body. THEY ARE!
