what was Sam lane crapping on about trouble at the club today??
Sam Lane was refering to the furore today following the Footy Show antics last night and the statement made by the club about it today.
"At the end of the day, a coach and a fitness adviser doesn't make a good football team, they're not the only ones who got us to two Grand Finals." Lenny Hayes. 27/9/2011.

If the feminist footy journos, and non footy journos for that matter, want to make this an issue then they need to go with the big picture.
Forget Sam Fisher and the St Kilda Football Club. Look at The Footy Show and Channel Nine. All these lame Milli Vanilli acts featured scantily clad female dancers, blokes keen to shed some part of their kit and lewd lyrics. Have a go at the music industry for producing the sort of crap that they seek to emulate through these reviews.
We are simply a convenient target due to our recent past. But if our blokes hadn't taken to the stage last night the segment would have still been crap and would've still been offensive to the likes of Sam Lane.

Strewth! Don't usually watch the players' revue. We haven't been in it the last couple of years anyway!
Didn't mind it. Although as soon as the pole appeared I thought :"Oh no the politically correct do-gooders will have a field day with this!"

In honour of those who went before, in the dark and desperate years.

The segment is the whole TFD players review, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been cancelled if our boys had dropped out.

Fair enough, I don't watch that rubbish. What I meant to say was that if our blokes didn't take the stage the criticism wouldn't have happened. The whole show is offensive full stop, not just to the likes of Sam Lane. Oh, by the way, I like Sam Lane.Dr Spaceman wrote:Perhaps read my post again Bernard.Bernard Shakey wrote:If our blokes hadn't taken to the stage last night the segment wouldn't have happened.Dr Spaceman wrote:If the feminist footy journos, and non footy journos for that matter, want to make this an issue then they need to go with the big picture.

Sam Lane is a moron, she can barely get a sentence out, it's so sad when she tries to play journalist.

Samantha Nepotism, more like it. Has the gig purely because she sprung forth from her equally clueless father's ball bag. One day she may provide some insight or make a statement that has some genuine impact. I won't hold my breath waiting. Best example of tokenism in AFL there is. She might end up like Caroline Wilson, always resorting to her non-existent "thourthes" when the blowtorch is applied.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Didn't see the show but a mate from another club said BJ wasn't wearing any StKilda apparell on the show (which he then claimed was a sure sign BJ will leave next year).
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Goodes didn't have club colours either. From memory only one that did is Clarko. I guess the players are on holidays. Coaches are always working...SainterK wrote:Enrico_Misso wrote:Didn't see the show but a mate from another club said BJ wasn't wearing any StKilda apparell on the show (which he then claimed was a sure sign BJ will leave next year).
Neither was Nic-Nat, Jack Riewoldt, Cooney...
Actually was anyone wearing team colours out of 15 or so guests?
