Rhys just needs games to be able to develop adjust. Another preseason under his belt won't do him no harm either as long as their is no repeats of his new Zealand antics. Ross just never really gave these young guys a real chance.
I think another pre season will do wonders for him , expect him to step up next year and claim a regular spot in the team. I'm really upbeat about the young guys and look forward to Rhys , Ledger , Cripps and Crocker having a huge impact on the team next year ....
Jack Newnes happy to be a Saint !!!! PS and to hit a target !!!
He has potential, but im not sure his best is going to be good enough to take us to premiership #2. His kicking is suspect and he struggles to hold on to marks and there are question marks on his pace.
Hopefully a solid pre season will help sort these issues. Maybe a new coach will help him blossum?

Question marks on his pace? Like - will he win his second grand final sprint on Saturday?

You really let yourself down with that comment. Hard to take the rest of your post seriously.
The guy has already won one GF sprint and is favourite to take out a 2nd. the fact that he's even in the GF sprint indicates a fair amount of pace.

I agree. I thought we were going to see some of that this year.
I hope he has learned a lot following the incident in NZ in the preseason and I hope his injuries have settled down and we get to see him out on the park next year. Lets see if he can deliver on his potential

someone mentioned that getting into the grand final sprint is evidence of pace? do you realise dean cox is in it this season? being in it and winning it are two very different things..

Hey champ. Please refer to the winner of the GF sprint 2009.
Well what was his handicap. If i got 40 metres over Dean Cox, then im sure id beat him too. Rhys Stanley winning the Stawell Gift and GF Final Sprint doesn't mean that much i dont think.
