You reckon Buckly REALLY wants the pies to win the flag ?
Would take a hell of a lot of pressure off him if they do fail to get over the line.
Deep down there would be a bit of relief me thinks.

I was hoping he would sabotage their attempt at the flag.rush 74 wrote:Would take a hell of a lot of pressure off him if they do fail to get over the line.

I think it was a bit tongue in cheek.Ajer wrote:I'm pretty sure Buckley would prefer to be part of a flag than to be part of a losing Grand Final. Absurd statement
Anyway, is it that absurd to think that deep down a little part of FIGJAM may have hoped he could be the one to lead the feral faithful to the promised land?

The main problem with going three in a row is motivation. Will players push themselves to the 110% required to win? Will they make the neccessary sacrifices when they already have 2 premiership medals dangling around their necks.I Love Peter Kiel wrote:...Anyway if they DO win this week, he'll be on a hiding to nothing next year.
Three in a row is pretty unlikely. So by definition they must do worse next year.
And even if they do, it will simply be expected of such a great team.
Yep, old Bucks certainly has more to lose than to gain if the Pies salute again this year.
If they don't push themselves 110% there is always someone else right behind them ready to step up and offer 110%. I dont think any player goes out there to take it easy, especially a team who is going for a hatrick which has obvious depth.Dr Spaceman wrote:The main problem with going three in a row is motivation.
