Like the AFL teams, the after-party quickly split into pockets of players sticking together with their respective WAGs.
Near the bar, St Kilda players Nick Riewoldt, Sam Fisher and Nick Dal Santo were spied huddled at the far end, while North Melbourne players Andrew Swallow, Drew Petrie, Daniel Wells and Brent Harvey were at the other.
It didn’t take long for a few best on ground front runners to start emerging in the well-heeled, flesh-baring crowd at the AFL official after-party at Studio 3 inside Crown.
But it was dashing Swan Adam Goodes who took home the title, closely followed by a highly spirited Craig Hutchison and Bulldog Adam Cooney

After the event and broadcast had finished and all guests were leaving or slowly in the process on leaving, either to the after party or elsewhere, the Saints boys all stayed at their table for a fair while. The room was emptying and the Crown staff were well and truly clearing tables and they all were yet to move from their seats at their table, just chatting with each other and in no hurry whatsoever. Looks like they stuck together for the remainder of the night too.
