Luke miles after Rhys pulled out at the last minMunga wrote:Who won last year?
Interesting that Stanley and McKenzie were the top two from 2009, both running again this year. I reckon another 10 metres and McKenzie had Rhys.

I think he was on the outer with Ross because of his form in NZ. He didn't do great against Essendon when we needed him to lift and seemed to come alive in junk time. After watching that footage of him running off an opponent, I can't wait to see him play again. He still was doing the push the ball out in front of himself instead of backing himself to mark. I have really high expectations of Rhys because he has all the tools but may not get much longer to put in the effort. We have some forward talent coming throufgh with Rhys, Johnson and Walsh. The should all be given more of a run this year and Kosi and Roo should be pressured to hold their spots by these guys. That is when you create a perfect scenario coaching wise, it pushes players to perform with real outcomes.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency
