How he went all those years ago means pretty much f***-all to us. All that matters is how he would go with us now. This may just be his time. Or it may not.

Pointing out that the greatest coaches in the history of the game had poor periods....and then regenerated...
Matthews had a poor end at collingwood after taking them to glory, called it a day, missed 4 years, returned and won 3 premierships....
Parkin had several low periods......man could seriously coach
Barassi showed that even the greatest coach cant deliver with rubbish
Ayres has coached at over 50% after 10 years....not a poor record....and got a team into the big one...
Best coach in the vfl
Followed by
Gotch and fitzgerald
German is ok
