A line in the insidefooty article today made me think of this thread DW :wink:

While some, especially in the playing group, have been hit hard by the news of Lyon's departure, others at the club are less miffed.

One highly respected figure said: "He's better off out of the place. At least we won't have a culture of fear operating now. And we won't have to replace four assistant coaches that he burns off every year."

Interesting. Wonder what they meant by that.

Fear of making mistakes perhaps? He did tend to drill any latent flair out of players IMO. I won't miss him.

That's very interesting. I wonder how accurate it is. For mine the two most highly respected people at St Kilda include a man who wears #7 and a man who used to wear #35 !!
