Might see a Harvey/Laidely type team? Wouldn't mind that.

Love to see Harves succeed at it but it worries me a bit, just don't think he is ready

Harves now favourite with the bookies, recent form suggests this definately wont happen based on that!

Maybe this year?

Yep, reckon if Banger gets the nod it will be alongside a "director of coaching" type mentor, similar to the hird/thompson arrangement

I hear how Harvey wouldnt be the best coach, why is that. Have they heard something from the Blues or St Kilda?

Soory, dead against Harvey as coach.

Please get someone who has at LEAST coached elsewhere, in a succesful environment and coached a team before.....Watters way ahead of Harvey.

Sorry but St Kilda cant afford to have a Voss like situation - legend or not.
If we do this its Board "panic" time to placate fans and a disaster.

Thx both. Fair enough that he doesn't want to move back to Vic at this stage in his career I guess.

Let's hope we don't rush in and appoint someone.

If the filth wins another flag this year I reckon Eddie will release MM from his contract, paving the way for the Saints to get the best available coach to take us forward.

"they"? the media? how would they even know?

let's face it, from the outside no supporters or media have the faintest clue how good or bad individual assistants are. even from the inside i don't reckon it's easy to tell. brian royal was talked up for a long time but he never ended up with a senior job. is that because he's crap or because he doesn't interview well?

the good old- experience and actual as opposed to Interview well

my work place is full of examples of people in positions because they interview well when others who display the skills are just out there doing the job without the reward

Use the time to get this exactly right !

Post: # 1145817Post Megamaguire »

Junction Oval said
"Be calm and calculating Saints, this has to be the right appointment!"

A quick decision now would be wrong.

Take as much time as is needed to feel impressed with the choice.

The previous process worked- a certain coach took us to 2 grand finals.

There's no rush now. Use the time given us.

IN NO RUSH AT ALL FOR NEW COACH.
