b.t.w. I hope everyone would be willing to wait ten years like the pies did, if he'd been cut when the Buckley deal went through we'd all think he is a washed up failure.
right place, right time.

Will you really burn/cancel membership if MM comes?

Mister Magic seems a fairly affable chap to me.bigred wrote:I dont like MM.
For various reasons.
But I'm not convinced he can coach.
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Hi bigcarl: I'm flattered that you are using a quote from me in your signature line, but I trust you realise it was a joke.bigcarl wrote:Nah. I'd take him just to spite Ross Lyon and Collingwood. Plus, despite his nasty nature, he can coach.
I personally believe Lyon was a good coach and performed his role well at our club. What has made me unusual on here (less so lately) is that I also strongly that GT was a good coach and was also good for our club.

The Tiger and the Lion may be more powerful, but the Wolf does not perform in the circus.

I don't think MM coaching the club is a realistic proposition anyway but I'm staggered by the response in this thread.
I don't like him either but he's an exceptional coach. If he gave even the slightest indication that he was available our board would be crazy not to make a big play for him.
Milney is professional enough to sit down with him and sort out their differences. He's getting to the end of his career and wants a flag.
Talk of burning memberships and not renewing makes you lot sound like Richmond supporters by the way. We're better than that.

I agree.plugger66 wrote:I support the Saints not the coach. I detested Brian Wilson when he came to our club. I wasnt going to throw in my membership though. The Fireman wrote:How can you support someone you simply detest?
I'm in no hurry to become a hypocrite , the man is a dog of a person.
I support the Saints not some deadbeat lying coach.
Couldn't care less about if MM coaches us.
Thought he was a see you next tuesday, for years, will still thinks so except he will be a see you next tuesday in Saints colours, just like the last two coaches.
Lance or James??
