The Business of Premierships. Really?
At the risk of being labelled a 'loser' with a 'losers mentality' and 'embracing mediocrity', following the footy and certainly following the Saints - is not all about Premierships to me.
It never has been.
Sure, I'd love to see the club win one in my lifetime, but that's not the reason I follow the game or the club.
I love the joint. Always have. Win, lose or draw.
I don't consider myself a consumer of a product. And I'm not a customer of a business that wins Premierships.
If I wanted to follow a business, I'd probably follow Heineken or Coca-Cola or something. Well, I probably do support Heinekin a bit in a roundabout way!
They do well, makes lots of cash and stuff.
But that's now what the footy is about to me. I've been a footy head since I was a baby. I loved playing it, and loved watching it.
I'd watch local footy, do the score board or run the boundary for the club that played out the back of place when I was kid. I'd go and watch the Saints train at Moorabbin after school 3 nights a week, had the home made scrap books going and everything.

You support the wrong team if you are in it only for the premierships with St.Kilda.
We all desperately want to see us win the flag, but if thats all you have you would have dropped off the Saints and followed another successful team years ago.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Well if he's in the business of winning premierships, then he's in the wrong business. He has just announced himself as a failure at the saints. Can't see him doing much better at the shockers. He has already made enemies and he hasn't even started there yet. Their supporters, media and heirachy are much less forgiving than what he experienced here. Won't see out his contract. He who lives by the sword.........and all that.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Love ur work johnny member.
Top post.
U need to love what u do to be a success anyway. Lyons money hungry ways now means he can't sell his same loyalty warrior stuff anymore because it is clearly not legit. That was his main weapon. so I think he will struggle to get freo to buy and believe in his story. He can't sell them the reservoir wrong side of the tracks garbage when everyone knows he's on 7 mill. He will just look like a total knob. So think he will fail with the docks and they will lose a lot of money on this fraud of a bloke.
