The club is bigger than any individual. I'll continue to fork out for social club, despite only getting to two games a year.

we are renewing.

How do we teach our future generation about loyalty if we encourage
them to drop a membership or support of our club just because times
get tough. Maybe that's the problem with our world today. If there's nothing
in it for me i'm out........sad !!

I wasn't a member this year...

But something about all this has stirred me. I don't even care if I don't make it to one game. As soon as I get the chance I am becoming a member for 2012.

I was a member under Tim Watson, so I'm not about to jump ship now. Plus I'm a supporter of the club, not any one invidual employed by it.

... as long as we don't recruit Malthouse.

One lying coach is enough.

I'll get one because I'm now in Melbourne and it makes going to games cheaper. Wouldn't buy one again if I was still in the country

Just paid $200 for 'limited' a raffle ticket. Feeling a bit bitter but will renew membership and seat.

Fantastic support guys, but this year we had more than 7k who did not renew. Even then we nearly hit 40k.

Something ain't right.

Is it a value for money, player access or some other thing?

I didn't renew in 2011. My reasons are in the thread which was a reply to Rohan Connolly's recent pissweak article about this subject.

Will definitely sign up for 2012. Club needs to get the next few months absolutely right though. All the good work of the last 10 years is in the balance.

I like Malthouse personally, though I understand why many don't. I don't see why he is any more a liar than anyone else, I like his style of leadership and his record is good. Having said that I'd be much happier to grow our own legend like we did with Ross than hire an established legend.

Far more worried about the board frankly. If they didn't want Ross to leave, they are worse than incompetent. My hope is that this is part of their plan, which will be clearer after the GF. My guess: they talked to Mick prior to negotiations with Ross.

Either way, strong leadership and fraternity crucial now more than ever.

Having said that, not averse to taking 1 step back to take 2 steps forward come trade week. We can't afford to sit on our hands this year.

I live in France, so won't be going to games, but will still be a loyal supporter.

I have been following the club for 45 years and have never got a membership. This may finally get me on board but i would have to like the coach.

That's great plugger.

Do you have an AFL membership with club support?

Doesn't some of that go to the club?

Yes I do and of course i am a member. With AFL, MCC and social club its getting bloody expensive especially since our Daughter has just got her MCC membership through as well.
