Exciting and high scoring football to ensue!

Post: # 1141676Post sainterinsydney »

Get pumped everyone! The boring and dour style of Ross Lyon is officially gone! No more recycled rejects from other clubs! We will finally see some of our kids getting more of a go! We might actually finally beat Essendon again!

Let's hope the draft crop of 2010 are hitting the weights hard & pumping themselves full of creatine so they can become monsters in the off-season....they had the bodies of kids last year - if we expect them to play & be a part of an exciting new era - their bodies will have to have developed sufficiently to allow this to happen ASAP.

I would rather average 10 goals on top of the ladder than 15 in the bottom third...

Yep exactly. Do we really want play like the Dons have in the last 3 years?

At least the forward Line might improve

Post: # 1141762Post oh when »

I have followed this Club for 45 years, endured the bad and celebrated the good times. We could not win the 2009 and 2010 grand finals because in finals kicking goals wins the game. This year Lyon did not improve the forward line, in fact it went backwards. I could see problems with it from Round 1, still week after week Lyon dished up the same.

After last week's final I had little faith in what would happen in 2012, probably more the same.

Maybe now Siposs and others will get a chance to get game time, to straighten up our forward line structure and play attacking football.

With the right coach, there could be exciting times ahead.

Also I feel for the players, they have sacrificed their natural game for the defensive style for Lyon, now he pisses off. Fortius Quo Fidelis, Isay good riddance.

There is no guarantee that we will automatically become a free wheeling football side.

The new coach may be more attacking, he may not be.

I don't understand the constant demand that we play exciting football. Matthew Knights could have us playing exciting football, we'd lose more than we win but it'd be exciting. Do we really want exciting more than we want wins??

Yep, ofcourse everyone wants both, but sometimes you have to know your limitations.

Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friends.
