If I were a row of people, we'd look like this:
They will not grow old, as those from more northern States grow old.
For them it will always be three-quarter-time, with the scores level
and the wind advantage in the final term.

Dear Majority,
St Kilda Football Club has launched its 2011 membership campaign, aiming for '45,000 STRONG IN 2011'.
In 2010, St Kilda established 'Saints Footy' as a brand that resonated with members, fans and the wider football world.
2011 presents the Club with an opportunity to reinforce 'Saints Footy', while urging all fans to cement their loyalty to the red, white and black and become 45,000 Strong.
This is a call to action for fans to become a member and join the Saints movement as the Club embarks on another assault for football's most coveted prize.
With a blockbuster season opener against the Cats in Rd 1 on Friday 25 March, the players and the coaching staff are more determined than ever to deliver.
"Never, never, ever give up.
We will prevail.
Stick with us and let's reach 45,000 members."

I can't see why we need him most now. Why any more than at the end of 07 08 09 10?SainterK wrote:I've already got my head around him leaving, I can embrace the change.
Ross is a very, very good coach.
I'm not going to say thanks though, when the club needed him most, he left.
His right of course, but no back pats here.

I am worried about the brand.
Hopefully my fears are misplaced, and the club can show itself to be a force of stability and things quickly improve.

Thanks for turning your back on us when we needed you most. Thanks for lying about it. Thanks for not showing any respect to your employees and the players who you claimed to love. But most of all thanks for going over to WA, the further away the better.
PS, thanks from Mark Harvey and the Freo supporters as well.

No. Your post is 100% total crap. If you think that thanks to Lenny we won 19 games in a row in 09 - that's a joke.meher baba wrote:Spot on. If one wants to be brutally honest, Lyon's imrpoved coaching performances from 2008 coincided with Lenny returning to full fitness and continued while Lenny was at the top of his form and then dropped away after Lenny got injured again.bigcarl wrote:With 16 fit boys.kosifantutti23 wrote:The same champion side that was beaten by Melbourne in an elimination final?Con Gorozidis wrote:Thanks for leaving us with the worst youth in the afl.
He inherited a champion side. Ffs.
It was a very good list and GT might have taken it all the way.
2009 was our best year under Ross, and that was also the year when all our stars were 100% fit.
I agree strongly with the OP that we should be grateful to Ross for all the really good work he did: he was undoubtedly a talented coach and he almost got us there. But the idea that he turned the club around when it was on a downward slide is 100% utter crap.

I don't see how that can affect the coach other than make him want to leave for somewhere where he sees more security.SainterK wrote:We have no major sponsor, losing money....kosifantutti23 wrote:I can't see why we need him most now. True, and I've changed my mind....on reflection, him leaving will improve both situations.kosifantutti23 wrote:I don't see how that can affect the coach other than make him want to leave for somewhere where he sees more security.SainterK wrote:We have no major sponsor, losing money....kosifantutti23 wrote:I can't see why we need him most now. I've loved watching the Saints over the last few years. Mostly from a long way away. Maybe people found it hard to watch but I like to see the Saints win and mostly we won.
I don't know the circumstances of your departure. I haven't seen a quote from you in the press this week so I don't know what you told the club or the players but as a professional you have every right to look out for yourself.
Personally I wish you good luck in life although I hope your team fails. I can't understand all the hate for you going around this place.
I totally agreee.I wish Ross well and I thank him for being able to squeeze so much from the list he had at St Kilda. We had far from the best list in the league yet he got so much and more out of them.Good luck mate.
