Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Interesting comment made by GT in this article:

"I spoke to Mick back in 2001 when I was searching for a coach and he said, 'I can guarantee I will coach St Kilda one day and I want to get back there and coach. That would be the final thing I want to do, to coach St Kilda, so keep in touch'."
Don't see it happening though, not after the milne incident

Agree that we need to follow the same process that we used to select our last coach, Ross Lyin, and give an untried assistant the role.
OR
The only two experienced coaches I'd be happy with are:
Mark Williams
Michael Malthouse
If we can get Malthouse and he wants to do it, we'd be negligent not to appoint him.

Giving advice now saint pav? U spent the last few months bagging me for daring question that ross lyon was anything but the messiah. U are a dead set flog buddy.SaintPav wrote:You need to swap your Avatar with your sig but leave the picture the same.joffaboy wrote:Well he can have his role players Polo and Gamble for a start.stinger wrote:no f*** him...if you are not with us you are against us.....he's now the enemy.....probably try to pinch a couple of our players too........prick...suss wrote:Bit soon isn't it? For the record I ran a 'get guy' campaign on here back in 2006. As usual I was widely ridiculed at the time.rexy wrote:Think we should at least interview Mark Harvey, has been through some ups and downs, has a bit of mongrel, comes from a winning culture inder Sheedy at essendon and has something to prove. Cant be judged on this year as the injury list has been mammoth!
Heart would love Banger but head says why?
Club would be negligent not to approach Malthouse Roos Thompson and possibly Matthews!
Guy Mckenna if the gloves are off then why not sound him out, dont beleive his deal is long or strong at GC but I liked what i saw this year!
What does anyone know about adam kingsley? been an assistant with us and Port under williams, young and intelligent!
Remember kingsley is a premiership player also.
Lat time Ross Lyon came from left field and worked out well
Follow EXACTLY THE SAME PROCESS AS LAST TIME.
60 candidates, shortlist interviewed by a panel of inside and outside experts, extensive psychological testing and profiling, presentations to the panel and finally a decision.
Look at the result it produced - a bloody good coach (whatever we think of him now).
Go for an assistant unless you can get Malthouse.
Mark Neeld, Scott Burns or Leigh Tudor would be my preference.
I will give you Clarkson - but was Bailey another of your hillarious attempts at comedy. Stressful (get a life - I can give you a million things more stressful than a coach leaving a football club. Have you ever lost a child through a long suffering illness ?) Let the club get on with appointing a new coach - they did a good job last time. Might have been out of left field as well and better than BaileyMCG-Unit wrote:Glad we have made you laugh at this stressful time....derby Street wrote:Thanks for this topic to lighten the mood and provide lot's of laughs on a gloomy night some ppl here with a great sense of humour. How much out of left field were the appointments of Clarkson and Bailey at the time
Also good of you to provide your coaching suggestions before slamming others O great oracle.
