Re: David Armitage
If Armitage played in the 2009 GF we just win that day. I don't care what anyone says. The conditions were such that he had to play, in place of at least 5 others. His tackling, grunt work and ball winning ability would have been invaluable.DWOODROW wrote:Hope he gets a run in the midfield next year next to Steven, McEvoy and Lenny..............mmmmmmm how do we fit in Dal Santo.

I reckon we need more than Armitage to make the midfield more competitive. Another ruckman is needed to share the load for starters.DWOODROW wrote:Not at all. Just a little dilemma with fitting them all in the middle.BackFromUSA wrote:are you implying NDS may be traded? Pelchin at work?
Could not be happier Ross is gone.
Dal Santo is second on the list stated earlier. Only Lenny is ahead.
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Didn't you have a bloke like that who spent the second half on the bench?Little Dozer wrote:If Armitage played in the 2009 GF we just win that day. I don't care what anyone says. I was being sarcastic. There is no way he would be left out of the middle. I was trying to make light of having a few more options for the midfield, not sating Dal would not be in the team.Teflon wrote:well how the hell wouldnt you be able to fit Dal Santo into our midfield next year?DWOODROW wrote:Who said anything about Dal Santo leaving.
I sure as hell didn't
we aint exactly choc full of depth in there...
I had a chuckle anyway.

Am tipping that you wont be buying freo coloursDWOODROW wrote:So now I'm being misquoted as saying Dave is staying. I am just saying I would love to see Dave in the middle next year if he choses to stay with St Kilda and play alongside some great talent.
Whats it going to be Dave.
Will I have to buy some new supporters gear.
haha nah I just assumed he wouldn't want to stay if Ross was still coach.DWOODROW wrote:So now I'm being misquoted as saying Dave is staying. I am just saying I would love to see Dave in the middle next year if he choses to stay with St Kilda and play alongside some great talent.
