Tim Webster would have said that "St Kilda coach Garry Lyon has announced that he is leaving to coach Melbourne".

Tim Webster would have said that "St Kilda coach Garry Lyon has announced that he is leaving to coach Melbourne".
Tim would have said he has resigned instead of re - signed as he did once with buckley.

It's alright him staying but it's a bit inconsiderate of him to put a halt to all the Ross is going type threads....This joint was on a roll.........

Now what are they going to create threads about.....

Now the media can concentrate their attack on our list. You know it's so bad, we could only win 8 out of our last 10 home and away games. So bad they still made it to a home final. Just wait for the usual bullsh*t about our inevitable tumble down the ladder and that Ross will regret not leaving.

I have faith in RL and the footy department. I know the list needs an injection of young talent, but we still have an elite core that has a few years left and some exciting up and comers. I remember the media writing us off after our exit from the 2008 finals, saying we were in need of a major rebuild and thaat our "window' (Whatever that stupid term means) was closed.

The main thing is though, that this club is now getting to see the advantages of stability. We have an astute coach we know can get the best out of his players and the experience needed to keep contending and making it to September. The test now is for the player development staff to present Ross with an improved group for 2012. Far from doom and gloom, personally, I can't wait.

I'm convinced he isn't there. CONVINCED.

Think this is great news for the stability of the club and think that Ross would also appreciate that things need to change from here..we so quickly forget that Malthouse finially won his flag in year 10..would love to see some new high profile assistants from the next generation and think that Ross realises that the list management from here will be critical..some tough decisions need to be made for the medium to longterm!

Honestly believe this will unify the club and give us a better chance at having a crack in the next few years again..

And how sweet would it be to see Ross finish the job he has started and get to go one step further..

In Ross we entrust this team ;-)

I never thought he'd leave. Good news anyway. Nice for this club to finally have some stability in a coach, and a good foundation with the current board.

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!
