I sort of hope he does go to Melbourne.
The 2006 off season was so much more entertaining when Thomas got the arse.

Lance or James??

The previous administration were going to locate the club in St kilda or as close to it as possible when they were voted out!Buckets wrote:If that's the case the players and staff are all soft! I spend 1.5 hours on the road traveling 5 days a week and I don't get paid the big bucks like these so called professionals. If they need a GOD DAMN CAFE BUILD THE FARKIN THING OUT THERE!!!!!!!!barks4eva wrote:Buckets wrote:And if Seaford is such a big problem they can all F*** off or have a teaspoon of cement and harden up.barks4eva wrote:Teflon wrote:IF Lyon goes - "Footy First" should go with him.
Just disgraceful that a coach who MOST with half a brain acknowledge as one of the top 3 in the comp could be let walk by this limp wristed administration.
I feel a typical St Kilda implosion coming at a time when we needed to sign up Lyon and stay strong.
Fkn gutted if this is true -
AGREE 100%
They inherited Lyon and rode on his coat tails
It looks like the clowns have managed to screw things up monumentally
Nettlefold on FC was VERY UNIMPRESSIVE
Why would you agree to go on in the first place when you do not have the whole issue sorted.
Just another example of the poor judgement this current rabble of a board serve up.
Who voted for these idiots?
and EXTREMELY dissapointed in Ross Lyon if so.
You could not blame Lyon if
1. Melbourne offer 5 years and the best the putting their foot in it first clowns offer is a two year extension WITH CONDITIONS
2. Melbourne train five minutes down the road from where he lives and he does not have to drive ( there and back ) for an hour and a half every day down to Seaford.
When Tudor left Lyon made mention of Seaford being a factor in his decision to leave.
It's an issue NOW and it will be an issue in the future until we relocate!
They were even discussing with the St kilda council to have all the street signs painted red, white and black and for the club to once again embrace the suburb.
They had a vision for the club that they were actively working on!
Then Footy first got elected and within days made an announcement about moving to Frankston without one word of it mentioned prior to the vote
If you cannot see that this is an issue, I'm not surprised afterall this country is full of mindless sheep
BUT the fact is players do not like the extra travel and neither do coaches.
This is perfectly understandable.
With free agency star players will leave and star players will not come because of this factor when weighed up against competitors who are based in the inner city.
St kilda in St kilda was a massive opportunity lost and we will continue to see the club slide further south after having moved further south!
Our only hope in the short term is to see Ross Lyon re-appointed and have as much stability as possible or the place will really implode.
It would seem that keeping the coach the current board INHERITED from those who wanted St kilda in St kilda is even too bigger task and a bridge too far for these dumbed down, dingbats of discombobulation.

We get it, you think moving to Seaford was a really bad move,barks4eva wrote:Oh really!dragit wrote:I'll go out on a limb here and say that I don't think the travel time to work will be a big factor, probably more important is the millions of dollars and potential to win a flag.
BIG CALL
For better or worse it's done now, we've just spent $12 mil, we're not going anywhere for a long, long time…
Dont use logic with him. To be perfectly honest all RL has to do is say he going to stick out his contract. He hasnt so the media are going to go with their story until something happens one way or another.Johnny Member wrote:God, won't it be funny if/when he stays!
Will the media have it in for us then!! How dare we not inform them of everything and be up front!!

To be Honest he actually doesn't have to say anything if he is staying. He has a contract for next year.plugger66 wrote:To be perfectly honest all RL has to do is say he going to stick out his contract.
