The only players that shouldn't be considered for trade and in this order are,
Goddard
Hayes
Fisher
Dal Santo
Riewoldt
Milne
McEvoy
Steven
Montagna
Schneider
Gwilt
Players that may have some trade value would be Gilbert, Gram, Ray, Peake, Armitage, Kosi and to a lesser extent Jones and Dempster for their tagging ability. All should be considered on the table. Obviously some of these players will stay and be useful.
The rest, apart from recent recruits, have no future. With the untouchables and Ross as our coach we'll be playing finals and a serious threat for some time yet.

The only way to make a dramatic improvement is to trade players worth first round picks and bottom out for a few years. We did it well in the early 2000's as have WC over the last few years.
The only players I wouldn't trade are those that could be around for a flag tilt in the next 5 years or so.
Keep - Mac, Steven, Armo, Ledger, Cripps, Siposs and Crocker
Trade - anyone we can get a good deal from (yes Goddard and Roo even know that won't happen).
Or we could trade conservatively and finish between 6-10 next year and then 10-17 the following year.

When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss

between compromised drafts and free agency.....cant get the cream from the draft and we wont have too many free agents heading our way....especially those that are success starved....

I don't understand why so many people express amazement at the ability of the ordinary to carry us so far.
They did. Ergo they're not ordinary.
Plugger's on the money I reckon. Looks a fair guess to me.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
