Dear Nick
Please take all the time you need to rest your body, your mind, and your soul.
I watched you try so hard tonight, I watched your body not keep up with your desire.
It's been a tough year for you, you have been brave, the time now is for putting all your focus into getting yourself right....whatever that involves.
Look after yourself Nick, and thanks for ALWAYS trying.

I think his problems are as much in his head as his knees.
Take the captaincy off him and let him focus on getting back to some form next year.

I agree but some of the site oracles think it's not an issue of any great importance.....Enrico_Misso wrote:I think his problems are as much in his head as his knees.

I think he has been playing injured for the whole season..and he has been playing through the pain barrier. Imagine all the injections and crap before the game, I feel for him.hungry for a premiership wrote:Please take all the time you need to rest your body, your mind, and your soul.
Not to mention a new knee.
He was clearly playing injured tonight.

I hope that Rooey does take the time to get himself right. I do wonder if he will ever be the player we all know with his knee problem. I think Rooey looks very thin and has no muscle tone at all. I imagine he has not done much training at all this season. It doesn't make him look good when some of our players can't pass the ball to him in the correct manner. So many went over his head or to the side. Lets hope that 2012 is a better year for all.
Re: Dear Nick
Well said SainterK, Nick has done his very best. He is a proud man and like all of us, if we are honest, though absolutely heart breaking, glad season 2001 is over. I sadly fear his story may be similar to Aaron Hamill, I hope I'm wrong.SainterK wrote:Please take all the time you need to rest your body, your mind, and your soul.

Your head doesn't stop you from being able to bend down the get the ball.Enrico_Misso wrote:I think his problems are as much in his head as his knees.

Your head doesn't make you pull up sore after running 50 metres for a mark.
Your head doesn't make turning a major effort.
Your buggered left knee does.
It's not his knees, it's his left knee. Do you actually watch him during a game Enrico? Or are you busy deciding who should be captain?
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell
