Sydney's win over Geelong has really stuffed things up. We could have rested a couple of players carrying injuries, but for us to get a Home Final, we will need to beat Carlton (assume Swans beat Brisbane). That means full commitment next week and Rooey on the ground for the full game.

I think saint kilda is on a fine line for confidence atm, unlike 09/10.

Every game is important to our mental position, RL won't be taking anything for granted, I don't think he would have rested players anyway.

Had we had a top 4 position guaranteed and we were in 09 form the situation would have been different

It's been well reported that he has a chronic knee condition that needs managing over the rest of his career. On the basis of past evidence he can easily recover between the end of one season and the start of the next.

Also, history tells us that he can look farked one week and have a Lazarus-like recovery the next.
