If we play in Melbourne, it has to be Saturday, because the 3 other finals will all be at the MCG. There won't be 2 games at the 'G on the saturday.

If in sydney, I think it will be sunday arvo, then play Hawthorn the following saturday night.

Nope. How can Melbourne host 3 matches at the MCG on Friday & Saturday? With 3 confirmed finals in Melbourne, the 4th match, be it at ANZ or Etihad, will be on Saturday. There is no other way.

Also, with the Bombers vs Carlton on Sunday being likely, the winner's semi HAS to be on the Saturday night. You can't play Sunday, then Friday night.... So St Kilda will play Saturday in Week 1, and IF we win, will play Friday the following week.
