Complete dog act and would have thrilled his sniper coach.
Got to be worth two or three weeks one would think.

Howl me down if you want but I actually thought there was a sniff of evasive action in what he was doing. He'll go, but it was no Lloyd on Sewell...
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Like I said, he'll go, but on the replay I reckon he was attempting a late hurdle. Only too late. Still he copped him high, effectively knocked him out, was airborne and it looked horrible.bigcarl wrote:No eyes for the ball and blindsided a guy with his head down.Thinline wrote:Howl me down if you want but I actually thought there was a sniff of evasive action in what he was doing.
Could have been a tragedy.

I agree with you. He will definitely get weeks for it - but he doesn't play like that normally, ie snipe blokes, and I thought he was trying to hurdle Roo as well - which made it look even worse in the end. Ppl need to remember these guys are making split second decisions at a million miles an hour. Not excusing what happened, but I don't reckon he was trying to knock Roo out.Thinline wrote:Like I said, he'll go, but on the replay I reckon he was attempting a late hurdle. Only too late. Personally, I reckon what Leigh Brown did to Roo 80m off the ball in Rd 3 last year before Roo did his hammy, far worse. Was a premeditated block which caught him completely unawares. That sort of thing far worse than the intent of Ziebell. I reckon with an early plea he'll get 2 weeks.

Agreed Thinline. I was as p***** as anyone when it happened live, but thinking about it and seeing the replay at the ground, I actually think that Ziebell realised just a split second too late that he was going to hit Roo high, and jumped to try to and miss him.Thinline wrote:Howl me down if you want but I actually thought there was a sniff of evasive action in what he was doing. But then again, maybe I'm being overly charitable given Rooey's terrific game and our awesome win.
Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...
