despite us having played them 6 times since he left this was the first time he had played the Saints on Saints home turf as an opposition Player.
maybe he was remembering when it felt like Home and not the 'enemy'.
many Saints still feel 'jilted' by Luke and the fact that he didn't feel he could 'work hard' (his words) to play with the Saints. But has done so for someone else.
He spoke late last year of hoping the Saints fans had ' gotten used to' him not being a Saint and understanding... his winning a premiership against the Saints hurt and his every bonus since may continue to grit... and his more recent ' leadership' at the Pies just keeps to the fore his defection.
several on here noted he was physically ill following the game.

It's hard not to be bitter about the whole thing, especially when you have pies supporters rubbing in your face every time, but I have to say, I'm amazed that he's playing as well as he is. Never thought he would be capable of it again. That's life though, can't stay bitter forever. He's not the first and won't be the last bloke to leave our club under acrimonious circumstances.'
Sorry Saint brat I appear to have stuffed your quote up to make it appear that my comments were yours. I've tried to fix it as best I can
My Mistake Moods- Forsome reason My memory was putting that game at The G
but maybe the feelings are more accute for saints fans now given that since then he has the medal.

So what did that supporter say to the person who sold his soul for a pound of flesh?
He probably said that to him and Bally said i have a flag and i also see that supporters on SS cant get over me leaving and write threads on me every week even though I have as much to do with the Saints as Chris Tarrant does. He then probably laughed and said I look forward to another 5 threads this year as well as a another premiership.

If it didn't mean anything to him, that's what he should have said. But it did mean something to him by his reaction and my guess is that it is going to haunt him for some time, given the circumstances. Had Collingwood played any other team in the GF last year, the issue would be over, well almost. From my point of view, he has little to regret. He was offered $500,000 a year to play at Collingwood and $330,000 with us. We have been the beneficiary of players coming to us in the past for the additional salary, so I don't think we can be too sanctimonious about it. And when free agency eventually comes in, then it will be open slather, so we had better get used to players changing clubs. In the NRL, the decisions are even announced mid way through the season. We may not like it, but we are going to have to live with it. People booing or yelling at Luke are stupid, but it's a bit hard to legislate against that.
If he's so upset, then maybe he can go home, drown his sorrows with a bottle of champagne and then hang himself with the ribbon from that Premiershp medallian he received last year.
Curb your enthusiasm - you’re a St.Kilda supporter!!

Kicked 15 goals
Should we discuss some of the stk mids averages
And no player plays 100% in the middle
Luke Ball avgs 22 disposals a game
He had 21 last outing against Saints with little impact (again due to some great work round stoppages by McEvoy an Co)
By all means worship a Collingwood player but lets not make it up as we go along hey?
Is his value to that side (who had only Obree in waiting) worth 500k a year? ....probably
To a St Kilda with Lenny Hayes doing the same job but better?.....nup.
Yeah, righto.... A good mate of ball's who bags the s*** out of him....
A lot of saint players are still mates with him....
Dont swan, pendlebury, thomas, wellingham, sidebottom and a number of others play at collingwood...in the midfield...
All fairly capable inside, all win heaps of clearances......
I consider pendles the second best inside mid in the afl.....most would...
But at stk.....apparantly we only select one inside mid....
Statistically in 2010 joey was our best inside mid

21,000 posts of absolute s***. Congratulations, you must be proud. Sometimes you don't even have to barrack for a different team to be a troll, top stuff...
