All games should be at the SCG.

The AFL really are woeful.

I mean seriously. Ground conditions in a billion dollar national sporting comp should be a deadset piece of cake.

It should be a given, every week that the surfaces are as good as they possibly could be.

They've been hopeless in this area for years now.

We have covered stadiums, and an insistence on every game being a 'spectacle'.

The days of 'tough it out, it's a winter sport played in any conditions' has kond of been snuffed out by the AFL.

They market it as a spectacle, and insist on everyone else pulling their weight to ensure it is.

The only people not pulling their weight, is the AFL when it comes to getting the grounds right.

I would suspect that there are people on the inside at the AFL who weren't completely happy with the surface at ANZ Stadium, but they will have to keep their thoughts relatively quiet as the stadium is owned by their Chairman !!

Lets not forget the rain they had...

I went for a walk around on it after the game adn it didn't seem too bad for the amount of rain they have had in Sydney over the past few days.

The one thing that I did notice was a distinct 'manky' smell - like the drain systems were blocked or not working sufficiently.

But surface itself wasn't too bad !
