What a disappointing effort...
While I know the losing margin was only 15 points that was a very disappointing effort.
So many players down, such lack of team play....no fluency. Just park football all day.
They just in the main all looked off their game all day. you would not have thought we were playing to lock ina finals berth.
One can only hope that the whole team had gastro. For they played like it.
An effort like that against the Hawks, Cats or Pies would see them rippeda new one.

Swans lost to the tigers. Embarrassing. They were always going to come out fired up and ready to atone for their sins.
Bad timing.
We could beat them any other time, but not after such an insipid effort against an untalented team.
Shite...can't help bad luck

Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, an unselfish woman- what do they all have in common? Answer- we would all like to believe they are true, but they are all fictional.

Thing is today the Swans were not that good. They were hard at it...and Mummford was stunning.....but we just fed them all day with sloppy turnovers.
We looked like we thought we would win with no effort...and got rolled.
Most of our better players were below par today.

Tipped swans and Im not at all surprised to be honest.
We are making up numbers this year and with Riewoldt playing like he is we ofcourse will struggle.
That said Ive been hoping we could at least jag a final and give some kids some exposure.
Lyon HAS to trade hard at seasons end - sorry but Gilbert/Gram are obvious, Bakes/Blake/Gardiner retire.................and more.

Well played sir
They were 5% more intense and that's when you end up with 32 less contested possessions, 15 less clearances and 15 fewer scoring shots.
Terrible performance, but not a reflection of the last 2 months.
Still very capable of beating North, and even Carlton if we come to play (which clearly was not the case today).

we had no intensity I concur.
how many players do you think we can get from the draft teffers?
what players do you think we can get for gilbert and gram teffers?
This is not the team that hit Collingwood like a battering ram last week.

Not actually that ironic. We are a well organised team that make sure we have loose men.BigMart wrote:The biggest 15 point schlacking in my memory......should have been 6-8 goals really......
They dominated every stat except efficiency (how ironic) and we played ver poorly.......back to the form of early season...

The games momentum seemed to change in the last few minutes of the third. I had a bad feeling at three quater time.
We seemed to have fortune on our side with their inability to kick straight. We should have made them pay dearly for that.
As soon as Goodes came into the fold it looked ominous.
Sounded like RL was outcoached.
Why the bloody hell did he leave an injured on the ground like that?

There was that 5 minute period when Saints had the momentum again in the third, where Milne played on and missed, Schnieds then kicked that nothing kick over Milnes head and we didn't score, Milne then gave away a silly free holding someone who didn't even have the ball.
Felt like those moments were significant personally....could of had the biggest lead of the day, but didn't.

Shocking game all round, from everyone.
s*** ground, s*** day.
Great to see the saints play finally! (live in sydney)
Probably should have lost by 8 goals if the Swans had kicked more accurately.
That was sublime slump football from the saints today. Yes, in a slump we are. Nobody seemed to give a crap today.
Expect a jekell and hyde performance against the roos next week....
