The usual suspects

Post: # 1120163Post Dan Warna »

we outscore the pies but fail in accuracy, our ruckman wins, we break even in the clearances, we win the tackles, we break even in the midfield, our defence holds collingwood to its second lowest score for the year, even with 70% accuracy and two 'supergoals' and a BS bouncer, we are the second best team to perform against collingwood, and we have 20 scoring shots against them and the usual tuckfards want whole sale changes and have already surrendered.

Seriously, give up now, and go back to 1999/2000 when we were getting flogged regularly, you'll be happier.

grow a spine. We got beaten by the best side in the competition, with a bit more accuracy we would have won, and you tuckfards want wholesale changes to the team and coaching.

note it was collingwood with the cramps at the end of the 3rd quarter, not us.

Why did we lose? 4.7 to 6.1.....10.10 to 15.4, we played well, get over your doomsaying.

Post of the year!!! Sick to death of the constant bagging and negativity. I was very proud of the effort, a bit cleaner with disposal and the result would have been different

In agreement. Was happy we held them. Thought the disposal was rubbish but if we can clear that up I'm confident we'll hold them in September. Top posting.

Who wants wholesale changes?

110% effort by the boys last night, let down by some elementary mistakes.

Fwd 50 Delivery - some deplorable kicking, which is player deficiency. Has been a Club Recruiting problem for a couple of year's now. Not easily fixable.

Team Selection - clearly a poor decision to go conservative/defensive.
They robbed our less than potent forward line of a specialist player.

Game Day Coaching - to leave Davis unattended "all night" was a mistake. He was BOG, including 2 goals. Who was our 7th man in defence, and how well did he perform in comparison?

Could have won, should have won.

I am licking my lips at the prospect of facing collingwood in a knockout final.

I think we would beat them.

The classic stkilda problem of skill execution errors. Disposals going to collingwood players. Even dal santo did it in the last quarter!

We have far more heart than the pies but theur players have the better skills.

They are all in the zone. That extra sensory perception of being able to blindly handball backwards to a team mate. The pies have it all, but that mentality can be broken and i think we can break it open. We can fill them with doubt and make themm stuff up and run into blockages.

Please football gods, let us play the pies in a final this year.

We are a painful team to play againSt. We are disciplined and try not to give anyone breathing space.
