Our bottom six
Last year 'they' said our bottom six were our achilies heal. I reckon our bottom six are better this year, not necessarily different, but better
Armitage tougher, better
Dempster just better
Jones way better
Peake much better
Polo probably better than Eddy
Steven better
Ray more consistent, good
Raph fitter, more reliable
Blake just older
McEvoy way better than last year
Zac very reliable FB
Gamble hummmm
Exactly who are our bottom six?

I think our bottom 6 have stepped up in 2011.
A massive hole has been left with Lenny, but Armo is one of those players who has given us a glimmer of hope!
To me, Dawson and Raph remain an expose-able hole in our defense. I'm enjoying seeing Blake back there to be honest!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Last year you could could single out a few people. This year it's not so easy. Everyone is contributing. Love it.

True, our bottom six is better than last year.
Unfortunately, though, with the exception of Dal, our top six hasn't been anywhere near as good as last year:
Roo: probably his worst ever season.
BJ: Struggled with mental demons early and yet to recapture '10 finals form.
Monty: Still racking them up but not as prolific.
Fish: Hasn't had a bad year at all but as good as last?
Lenny: acl.
The good news is that, obviously apart from Lenny, they're all on the up and up, and who knows, the whole group could finally gel and all start playing their best footy just at the right time!

I don't reckon the Fish had a great year last year - was the worst of our big 6 compared to expectations. He's been good this year.hungry for a premiership wrote:True, our bottom six is better than last year.

The top 6 were playing extremely poorly in the first half of the season and you could argue one or two are still struggling a fair bit. I reckon it's been the fringe players that have carried the top six for most of this year.spert wrote:The bottom 6 of any team look a whole lot better when the top 6 are playing well

I mentioned to a mate last week that I thought the team was better on paper that this time last year.
Lenny is the glaring absence.
Steven, Armitage, McEvoy, Peake and a gradually improving Kosi are all huge improvements over their 2010 versions.
We all know the impact that an in form & firing Roo would have on the team. Hopefully Friday night will announce his re-arrival as a superstar.
