Why does Swan always get tested?
Arizona training camp...Lol...Load up on the good stuff!
this from the clown who told everybody for years what a great deal the saints got for plugger and how both the saints and the swans benefited greatly from the move...kept it up until i pointed out to him in writing that the saints got 2/5th of sfa for lockett.....hasn't opened his mouth on the subject since..although, unfortunately a lot of pple believed the garbage he spread.....and no....aussie was not part of the deal...he was picked up with one of our original picks....smith was...but he f***ed off end of 97....

What annoys me is the fact that we are getting whacked both ways.
We didn't want him enough yet we wanted too much for him at the trade table, we didn't rate him as highly as Collingwood yet we offered him more money than they did.
His management team did a great job, he his widely viewed as the "wronged" party. The truth appears to be more of a case of a player seeking and getting better opportunities elsewhere.

Your disagreeing with a point I haven't made and don't believe.
So back to my first point Luke Ball is playing good footy. Can you explain to me how this is a faulty view?

no something went wrong with my post...it was...."and why not"....meaning there is no reason for him not to be playing good footy.....as he is maturing.....i just don't think the filth can claim credit...would have happened if he had stayed with the saints...imhfo...so noddy is barking up the wrong tree....
..not disagreeing with you at all...sorry if you thought otherwise....

what ever something must be affecting bits of memory- stated to day he had only been to Arizona once..... 2 weeks ago he did mention how $$$$$ can make a differance in recovery and rehab etc.. as he is evidenced of.Thinline wrote: Gone from Misson to whoever does the same thing at the Pies and looks different and is different. Luke Ball has averaged 22 possessions per year with Saints and Collingwood. He doesn't have elite endurance but he is really good at getting the ball out.
He is what he is and nothing has ever changed except that without lenny and ball we are now 14th for clearances.
I have never understood why RL underestimates the ability of players to clear the ball since that is exactly the role RL used to play..

yup
playing great footy for collingwood no doubt
yup collingwood
who managed to grab him at pick 30
in the draft
after somehow not getting picked up
in the 29 picks before that
AA, capt, in and under, tough and hard
survived 29 picks
to end up at the pies
as no one else thought he was good enough
amazing huh

I personally think he just simply didnt want to be a Saint anymore. He saw greener grass and now he is grazing on it he is happier and playing like it.
Regardless of what happened and the details surrounding it its simply psycology. If you arnt happy at a job your performance will suffer wether its concious or unconcious. The other thing is he is playing in a side who is absolutly flying and even an average player can be dragged to a better standard than he is capable of in a great team with momentum.
Going as far as saying he is better at the Filth than he ever was with us is stupid and the way he got there was almost criminal (which makes Eddie the worlds biggest hypocrite when he bashed GWS this week) but I dont honestly think we miss him that much if at all.

Ball could not kick and could run at the saints. He was good at getting his head knuckled and bandaged every game.
He seems to have recovered from whatever made him a VFL grade player at the saints. Whether that was actually a physical condition or a mental lack of desire to do anything useful for us, who knows.
He also has the best, juiced up, midfield in the league to mask his weaknesses now.

I think the reason it is such a poor point with people is that deep down we realise that not playing him for the second half of GF 2009 cost us the premiership. Geelong kept going through Raph Clarke (cos they knew he was the weak link) in the last qtr and did us over. Regardless of pay, Luke would have been sore with coach and in addition the coach wanted him to play like a winger when he is one of the best in and under clearance players in the comp!
I am sore that he left but he is not entirely to blame. He is a premiership player now, do you think he has many regrets? I wish we had 22 premiership players!!

Why would/should we expect Sheahan to get the facts correct when we have forum members who cannot (will not?)?
